(p. 137) ibbandi ibbandi. [Tel. ఇను+బంది] n. Strait, inconvenience, ambiguity. నిర్బంధము. తీర్థానికి ఇబ్బందిగానున్నది water is deficient or scarce. ఇబ్బందిగానుండే irksome. ఇబ్బంది పని a troublesome affiar. ఇబ్బందికాడు a troublesome fellow. Also, a mongrel tiger supposed to be begotten by a tiger on a leopard. ఇబ్బంది గుర్రము a horse of doubtful breed.

(p. 143) īga īga. [Tel. Tam. ఈ] n. A fly. పోతుటీగ. (from పోతు male and ట inserted) a male fly. చ నృపాలకులు ... నిగ్రహమొప్పగ పోతుటీగయున్ బొలయగనియ్యరంతిపురి.' T. iv. 17. Princes would, if possible, keep out even male flies from their seraglio. ఈగపులి īga-puli. n. A spider: literally a fly-tiger.

(p. 243) kanya , కన్యక, కన్నియ or కన్నె kanya. [Skt.] n. A virgin, a maiden. పెండ్లికాని పడుచు. Daughter కూతురు. A maiden, a damsel. ఆడుది. The sign Virgo. adj. 1. New కొత్త. కన్నెమెరుగు new or fresh flash of lightning 2. Young or small. కన్నెకయ్యము the onset in a battle యుద్ధారంభము. కన్నెబావి a poor well, one not abounding in water. కన్నెబెబ్బుతితోలు the skin of a young tiger. కన్నెమావి a young mango tree. కన్యతనము or కన్యాత్వము kanya-tanamu. n. (p. 350) gajibiji gaji-biji. [Tel.] n. Intricacy, a puzzle. Confusion, కలత, trouble. నలగుడు. Noise సందడి. adj. Confused కలిగిన. Bruised నలగిన. గజిబిజించు gaji-bijinṭsu. v. n. To be confused. కలుగు. గజిబిజిసేయు పెద్దపులి a horrid tiger.

(p. 367) giṭṭu giṭṭu. [Tel.] v. n. To die, expire. చచ్చు, నశించు. 'పుట్టిరేని వారుగిట్టిరేని' what though they be born, what though they die (Vēma). To suit, agree, match or meet, to be met. అనుకూలించు. to gnash. వాడికి పండ్లుగిట్టుకొనిపోయినవి his teeth were set in agony. వానికిని నాకును గిట్టదు he and I do not agree. నాకు గిట్టనివారు those who hate me, my ill wishers. ధరగిట్టక not agreeing on a price. అది నాకు గిట్టదు I do not like it, I cannot endure it. గిట్టీగిట్టక ఉన్నారు they are hardly on good terms. గిట్టని unsuitable. గిట్టమి disagreement, enmity. గిట్టమితనము spitefulness. v. a. To attack, meet with; లేండ్లగమిగిట్టుకోల్పులి the tiger that attacks the deer. M. 9. 1. 260. కలియు, కదియు, పైపడు, తాకు, పొదుపుకొను. 'శక్తిదండకృపాణ పాశములు నీటెగదయు శూలముగొని నిశాచరుని గిట్టి' T. v. 111. గిట్టుబడి or గిట్టింపు giṭṭubaḍi. n. Profit (in trade): in demand. గిట్టింపైన సరుకులు goods that are profitable to the seller, good articles.

(p. 369) gili gili. [Tel. derived from a slighting use of the word పులి or చలి.] n. Fear, terror. భయము. పులిపోయినను గిలిపోలేదు though the tiger is gone, the sensation of fear is not past.

(p. 382) guha guha. [Skt.] n. A cave, cavern, grotto. గుహాశయము guhā-ṣayamu. n. An inmate of a cave, i.e., a tiger. పెద్దపులి.

(p. 388) goḍa goda. [Tel.] n. Hunger, appetite. ఆకలి. గొదగొన్న hungry. గొదగొన్నపులి a famished tiger. గొదగొని hungrily. M. iv. 283 గొదకొను to be eager or in a hurry త్వరపడు, అతిశయించు. గొడగొడ goda-goda. n. Enmity పగ.

(p. 390) gōṇḍriñcu, gōṇḍrillu or గోండ్రిలు. gōnḍrinṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To roar, as a tiger, to bellow, to croak, to retch (in vomiting): to grunt as a hog. గోండ్రు gōnḍru. n. A grunt, bellow, roar, the lowing of cattle. గోండ్రుకప్ప gōnḍru-kappa. n. The bull frog, or bellowing frog. గోండ్రుపెట్టు gōnḍru-peṭṭu. v. n. To bellow, roar, grunt.

(p. 393) gōmukhamu gō-mukhamu. [Skt.] n. A sort of trumpet. Also smearing with cowdung. The front or spout of the lingam. The spout for water in the wall of a temple. గోముఖవ్యాఘ్రము gō-mukha-vyāghramu. n. A tiger in the disguise of a cow, i.e., a hypocrite. పైకి మంచివాని వలెనుండే దుష్టుడు.

(p. 394) gōluriñcu gōlurinṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To roar like a tiger (పులి) కూయు.

(p. 402) ghōramu ghōramu. [Skt.] adj. Frigthful, horrible, tremendous భయంకరము ఘోరదర్శనము lit. horrid to view: cruel-eyed, i.e., a tiger. ఘోరాటవి ghōrāṭavi. n. An awful forest. BD. v. 524. ఘోరుడు ghōruḍu. n. A fierce man భయంకరుడు.
