(p. 382) gūṭamu or గూటాము gūṭamu. [Tel.] n. A tent-pin or stake, used both as a mallet and as a peg. The roller of a loom. కాసెగూటము an iron or wooden hammer shaped like a pestle and used by stonecutters and cobblers. A wooden or iron wedge. 'గూటంపుతిరుగుళ్లు.' H. v. 112.

(p. 442) cappa ṭsappa. [Tel.] n. A wedge, a spar of wood placed for the wheels of a car to pass over in a sandy road. Also, a seal. ముద్ర.

(p. 418) cirata or చిరుత chirata. [Tel.] n. A piece of wood, a wedge, a cudgel. చిన్నకోల, గొడియ. Also, the round piece of wood at the end of a native canoe. A castanet. చిరతలు pincers used in pinching the fingers as a torture. చిరతలవేయు to torture with pincers or thumb screws. See under చిరు.

The wedge like part of a plough, నాగలిగొడగ. దుంపకూర any edible root. దుంపవలెనున్నాడు he is very strong. బంగాళాదుంపలు or సీమదుంపలు potatoes. దుంపనాగు dumpa-ṇāgu. n. A sort of snake. G. viii. 101. దుంపనాశనము dumpa-nāṣanamu. n. Total ruin, eradication. వానిని దుంపనాశనము చేసినాడు he ruined him root and branch. దుంపబచ్చలి a kind of plant, a species of బచ్చలి (q. v.) Basella rubra or lucida. ఉపోదకి. దుంపరాష్ట్రము or పెద్దదుంపరాష్ట్రము the Rhizome the Greater Galangal, or Jāva Galangal, Alpinia galanga. సన్న దుంపరాష్ట్రము the Lesser Galangal, Aplinia Officinarum. (p. 1027) mēku mēku. [H.] n. A wooden or iron peg, a nail, a stake or spike, గూటము. మేకును పెరికినకోతి the monkey that drew out the wedge, i.e., one who brings injury on himself by too much meddling.

'ధమనియుశ్రావణంబు మొలత్రాసునుపట్టెడ నీరుకారు' H. ii. 200. దిసమొల or మొండిమొల starknakedness, utter nudity. మొలకట్టు mola-kaṭṭu. n. A girdle or waist-band. నడుముకు కట్టుకొనేత్రాడు, మొలమాలు. A waist cloth, కట్టుకోక. మొలకత్తి mola-katti. n. A dagger, బాకు. మొలకులికి or మొలకొలికి mola-kuliki. n. A kind of grain, ధాన్యవిశేషము. మొలతాడు mola-tāḍu. n. The small string tied round a Hindu's waist whence is suspended the bit of cloth which serves as a modesty piece. కటిసూత్రము. బంగారుమొలతాడు a woven cord of golden wire. మొలతాటిగోడ mola-tāṭi-gōḍa. n.
