(p. 20) akṣacaraṇuḍu aksha-charaṇuḍu. [Skt.] lit. eyefooted; who has an eye in his foot. An epithet of the sage Gautama. గౌతముడు. A follower of the Nyaya Philosophy.

(p. 47) adhyayanamu adhyayanamu. [Skt.] n. Study, reading, especially of the sacred books. గురుముఖాను పూర్వశ్రవణము, పఠనము, The word అధ్యయనము is commonly used for the study of the Vedas or for the Veda itself thus: ఆ చిన్నవాడు నాలుగేండ్ల నుంచి అధ్యయనము చేయుచున్నాడు the boy has been studying the Vedas for four years. నాకు అధ్యయనము రాదు I have not studied the Vedas.

(p. 98) avyayamu a-vyayamu. [Skt.] adj. Imperishable, immutable, eternal. నాశరహితమైన, నిత్యమైన n. An indeclinable word, a particle. విభక్తివచనాదులు లేని శబ్దము. అవ్యయుడు a-vyayuḍu. n. He who is imperishable, i.e., God. నాశరహితుడు, నిత్యుడు, దేవుడు.

Strange, odd, prodigious, unusual, queer, unnatural, విపర్యయమైన, వ్యత్యస్తమైన. విపరీతముగా viparīta-mū-gā. adv. Contrariwise, incongiuously unnaturally. Abundantly. విపర్యయముగా, విస్తారముగా, విపర్యయము viparyayamu. adj. Reverse, inverse, contrary, queer, strange, unnatural, విపరీతమైన. విపర్యయ దురాగ్రహము violent or outrageous anger. విపర్యయము or విపర్యాసము viparya-yamu. n. That which is opposite, contrary, reverse. Difference, వ్యత్యాసము.

(p. 1232) vyatyayamu or వ్యత్యాసము vyatyayamu. [Skt.] n. Difference. భేదము. Contrariety, opposition, variation, inverted or retrograde order, విపర్యయము, వ్యతిక్రమము. వ్యత్యయముగా contrarily, విరుద్ధముగా. వ్యత్యస్తము vyatyastamu. adj. Differing, contrary, opposite, reverse, వ్యత్యాసపడిన.
