(p. 290) kukka kukka. [Tel.] n. A dog. ఆడకుక్క a bitch. కుక్కపిల్ల a pup, or whelp, a puppy. కుక్క adj. Inferior. కుక్కగొర్రె kukka-gorre. n. The rib-faced deer or barking deer, Cervulus muntjac. (F.B.I.) కుక్కతులసి kukka-tulasi. n. The white basil: (Ainslie. ii. 91.) ocymum album, as distinguished from the proper Tulasi called ocymum sanctum. కుక్కపాల kukka-pāla. n. A plant from the fibrous leaves of which bow strings, &c. are made. Aletris hyacinthoides; Sansevicra zeylanica. (Roxb.) చాగచెట్టు. A wild species of the పాలచెట్టు, Periplocā Tunicata:. అజగంధీ, వటపత్రిక. కుక్కముల్లు kukka-mullu. n. An eruption like measles, miliary eruption or nettle rash. కుక్కమూతి పిందె kukka-mūti-pinde. A blasted fruit. A proverb says చెట్టుచెడేకాలానికి కుక్కమూతి పిందెలు పట్టుతవి producing blasted fruit is a mark that the tree will never thrive again. Metaphorically, wild behaviour portends ruin. కుక్కవావింట kukka-vāvinṭa. n. A plant called the Dog Mustard, Cleome viscosa. శ్వాసబర్బర.

(p. 609) doṇḍa donḍa. [Tel.] n. The plant called Bryonia or Bimba. దొండపండు the ripe fruit which is glossy and of a bright scarlet colour. కాయదొండ Bryonia grandis, (Wild.) Momordica monadelpha. Rox. iii. 708. తీగదొండ. Bryonia umbellata. ib. 711. ఆరెందొండ, ఆదొండ or ఆరుదొండ Capparis zeylanica or Cāpparis horrida. లింగదొండ Bryonia laciniosa. (Watts.) కాకిదొండ. Trichosanthes palanata. Rox. iii. 704. కైదొండ or కాకిదొండ Cephalandra indica. కుంకుమ దొండ Bryonia pilosa. బ్రహ్మదొండ is a large sort of thistle with a red fruit. (Watts.)

(p. 756) pippali pippali. [Skt.] n. Long pepper, Anthrocnemum indicum. పిప్పళ్లబియ్యము grains of this pepper. నరుపిప్పలి a plant called Sphenoclea zeylanica. Rox. i. 507. కొయ్యపిప్పలి a plant called Salicornia brachiata. గజపిప్పలి a plant called Pothos officinalis, or Tomex scbifera. Rox. iii. 819. అది పిప్పళ్లబస్తావలెనున్నది it (or she) is as strong as a horse: lit: as a sack (బస్తా) of this pepper. పిప్పలికట్టె the dried root of the long pepper. పిప్పలిదుంప the root of the long pepper. పిప్పళ్లమోడి the thick or woody part (మోడి) of the long pepper vine.
