(p. 49) anada anada. [from Skt. అనాధ] n. She who is without a master or protector, without a husband. A rake or worthless fellow. అల్పుడు. adj. Destitute, wretched, abject, దిక్కులేనిది, మొగుడులేనిది.

(p. 332) kauśikuḍu kauṣikuḍu. [Skt.] n. A title of Indra: also of Viswamitra. కాలకౌశికుడు an abject wretch.

Ability, power శక్తి. నాగతి యేమి what is to become of me? ఇందుకు వేరేగతి ఉన్నది for this there is another remedy. దైవగతి divine providence. గతిలేని helpless, destitute, abject. వానికి దానిని చెల్లించుటకు గతిలేదు he is unable to pay it, he is without means of payment. పుత్రుడులేనివారికి గతిలేదు the childless have no hope (or prospect) of heaven. పటుగతి strongly దిట్టముగా. గతించు gatinṭsu. v. n. To pass away, elapse, కడచు. To die. చచ్చు. గతికల్పించు to devise an expedient. గతికుడు gatikuḍu. n. He who has a resource. అనన్యగతికుడై having no other resource. గతుడు gatuḍu. n. One who is gone or entered. ఆనందాబ్ధిగతుండనై I plunged in a sea of bliss. గత్యంతరము gat-y-antaramu. n. An alternative: an other means, or resource.

(p. 375) guḍḍu or గ్రుడ్డు guḍḍu. [Tel.] n. An egg. The eyeball. గుడ్లుపెట్టు to lay eggs. ఆవుగుడ్డుకార్చుకొన్నది the cow miscarried. కోడిగుడ్డాకారము an oval shape. గాలిగుడ్డు lit. a wind egg, i.e., nothing, nonsense. అది గాలిగుడ్డుమాట that is all nonsense. గుడ్డంతపిల్ల a little brat. గుడ్లగురివి guḍla-gurivi. n. A blind abject wretch. గుడ్లగూబ guḍla-gūba. n. An owl.

(p. 389) goraku or గొరగ goraku [Tel.] n. A wretch, an abject creature. 'దిగుదిగుగొరగ నాకగపడితింక.' BD. v. 899. The name of a plant.

(p. 530) tiripamu or తిరపెము tiripamu. [Tel.] n. Alms, what is given in charity. భిక్షము. తిరిపెగాడు or తిరిపరి tiripe-gāḍu. n. A beggar. భిక్షకుడు. తిరిపగొట్టు tiripa-goṭṭu. n. A shameless beggar. విరక్తుడుకాక భిక్షమెత్తువాడు తిరియు tiriyu. v. n. To live by alms. భిక్షమెత్తు, భిక్షించు. HD. ii. 1247. To beg abjectly. దీనమృత్తిని యాచించు. (p. 590) dāsuḍu dāsuḍu. [Skt.] n. A slave, bondsman, serf. వెలుకుగొన్న పనివాడు. A fisherman. దాశుడు. దాసానుదాసుడు dāsānu-dāsuḍu. n. A servant of servants, an utter slave. BD. iv. 2023. దాసి dāsi. n. A handmaid, a slave girl. వెలకుగొన్న పనికత్తె. దాసితనము dāsi-tanamu. n. Slavery. Abject submission, drudgery. దాసేయుడు dāsēyuḍu. (from దాసి.) n. One born to a slave girl. దాసికి పుట్టినవాడు. దాసోహం dās-ōham. n. Lit: I am (thy) servant. A compliment. దండము. అతడు అనేక దాసోహములు చెప్పినాడు he presents you his compliments. దాస్యము dāsyamu. n. Slavery, drudgery, obsequiousness, abject submission. సేవ, పని. దాస్యత dasyata n. A state of servility, slavery, bondage.
