(p. 93) avadagāki avada-gāki. [Tel.] n. An abominable wretch. పలుగాకి. 'దాచియెదురు పోయి దక్కిన గతి నువ్వునివ్వటిల్లవదన నీరజమున, కూర్చి చెట్టబట్టుకొని తెచ్చెలోపలి, కవదగాకినారియత్తలారి.' P. i. 592.

(p. 215) ollakāḍu olla-kāḍu. [Tel. for వల్లకాడు] n. 'The abominable place,' i.e., the cemetery or place where bodies are burnt., A cremation ground. ఒల్లకాటిమాటలు objectionable language, graveyard jokes.

(p. 263) kaṣṭamu kashṭamu. [Skt.] n. Difficulty, labour, fatigue, hardship. An affliction, plague, pest. adj. Hard, difficult, abominable, unfortunate. వాడు కష్టము లోనున్నాడు he is in difficulty. వాడు అక్కడ పది దినములు ఉండడము కష్టము he will hardly be there ten days. కష్టపడు or కష్టించు to take pains, to labour, toil, exert or bestir himself.

(p. 428) ceḍu cheḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be spoiled or damaged. To become rotten or worthless. To become wicked or bad. To be dispelled, dissipated, or done away with as darkness. To become bad, damaged or ruined. నశించు, కనబడకపోవు. To change, be altered from its original state. 'నకారము చెడి అర్థబిందువు వచ్చెను (Appa. C. ii. 31.) the letter N is dropt and the nasal sign (sunna) is substituted.' అది చెడె it is ruined! వాసిచెడినకాంతి with diminished brilliancy. నీ సంశయము చెడును your doubts shall be dissipated. M. XIII. v. 97. చెడగొట్టు cheḍa-goṭṭu. v. t. To ruin, spoil. చెడనాడు cheḍa-n-āḍu. v. t. To blame. నిందించు. To curse. To say 'Be it ruined'! To scorn. To waste, throw away. చెడిప cheḍipa. (చెడిన+అప.) n. An unchaste woman. రంకుటాలు. చెడు adj. Vile, worthless, Horrid, abominable. చెడుచిక్కు a terrible difficulty. చెడుగు cheḍugu. adj. Ruined, vile, worthless, Cruel క్రూరము. n. Evil, a misfortune or calamity. అశుభము. A bad woman దుష్టురాలు. చెడుగడు or చెడుగొట్టు cheḍu-gaḍu. n. A miscreant, a wretch. క్రూరుడు. P. i. 559. చెడ్డ cheḍḍa. (contracted form చెడిన.) adj. Bad, spoiled ruined, lost. Terrible, awful, tremendous. Hard, cruel. n. Evil. కీడు. మంచిచెడ్డలు good and bad. కులముచెడ్డవాడు one who has lost caste. తలచెడ్డచెట్టు a pollard, a tree that has lost its head. చెడ్డతనము cheḍḍa-tanamu. n. Badness, wickedness, severity.

(p. 541) tuluva tuluva. [Tel.] n. A wretch, a villain, a scoundrel. కుత్సితుడు, తుంటరి, పనికిమాలినవాడు, తులువమనిషి. n. A rake, a scamp. adj. Vile, abominable, light or worthless. కుత్సితమైన. తులువతనము tuluva-tanamu. n. Villainy, wickedness. తులువకత్తి a large crooked knife. వంపుచురకత్తి.

(p. 591) dikku dikku. [Skt.] n. A quarter, part, side, direction. దిశ. An airt or point of the compass. The ten directions named in Hindu books are the four points. N. E. S. W. and the intermediate four: N.-E. (ఈశాన్యమూల) S.-E. (ఆగ్నేయమూల) S.-W. (నైరృతిమూల,) N.-W. (వాయవ్యమూల) to which are added the Zenith and Nadir. దిక్కులుమ్రోయగా while the heavens resounded. Quarter, shelter, asylum, refuge, protection, patronage, శరణము. దిక్కులేని, దిక్కుమాలిన or దిక్కేదిన helpless, resourceless, devoid of any protector; also vile, abominable. దిక్కుగలచోటు a refuge. దిగ్విమల స్వరూపుడై the loveliest in the world. దిక్పతి or దిక్పాలుడు dik-pati. n. One of the mythica, elephants that support the corners of the world. దిగంతము dig-antamu. (దిక్+అంతము.) n. An end of the earth. దిగంతఖ్యాతి world wide fame. దిగంబరుడు dig-ambaruḍu. (దిక్+అంబరుడు.) adj. Lit. 'Sky vested,' having the air as a robe. Naked, stark-naked, undraped. దిసమొలవాడు. n. An epithet of Siva. దిగంబరురాలు she who is naked. దిగ్గజము dig-gajamu. n. One of the eight elephants (గజ) the guard the cardinal points (దిక్కులు) of the world. A poetical phrase answering to the poles of heaven. దిగ్గజములుమ్రోయ making the welkin ring. కవిదిగ్గజము a leading or classical author. దిగ్బంధము dig-bandhamu. n. A magic rite, restraining by spells the influence of certain stars. cf. Job. XXXVIII. 31. దిగ్భ్రమము dig-bhramamu. n. Giddiness, stupor, amazement. దిక్కులతబ్బిబ్బు, భ్రమము. దిగ్బ్రమితాత్ముడై bewildered, horrified, amazed. దిగ్గిజయము dig-vijayamu. n. Dominion, empire. Universal conquest. A royal progress or tour. దిగ్మండలము or దిగ్మండలి dig-mandalamu. n. The horizon.
