(p. 266) kākamu kākamu. [Skt.] n. A crow. కాకతాళీయము kāka-tāḷīyamu. n. Chance, casualty, accident. 'Like the crow and the palm fruit'--a phrase denoting coincidence (అవితర్కితసంభవము): as a palm fruit falling just when a crow has alighted: కాకతాళీయమైన sudden, opportune, unexpected. కాకతాళీయపత్ or కాకతాళీయ న్యాయముగా suddenly, casually, accidentally.

'అరదంబు నందుండి తన తనయుండైన భగదత్తుండు ముందు నడువ పడవకైవచ్చెనంత.' Satyabhāma. iv. 134. పడవరము or పడవలము paḍava-ramu. (పడలు+వలము.) n. The vanguard of an army, సేనాముఖము. 'గొల్లవల్లభుకపుడు కట్టంబు మిక్కిలి కానుకలిచ్చి, పడవలంబులదూల పలుమారు నేసి.' Pal. 80. పడువరు to proceed or go before, ముందునడుచు. పడవాగె or పడివాగె paḍa-vāge. adj. Prepared. Bridled. కళ్లెము పెట్టి స్థిరపరచిన. 'ఇనుడప్పు డజుడౌట మునుమున్ను పడవాగెగొని వచ్చు రాయంచకొదమయనగ.' Swa. iii. 74. టీ కళ్లెముపెట్టి స్థిరపరచి తేబడినటువంటి, అనగా ముస్తీబైవచ్చినటువంటి. పడవాలు, పడవాలుడు or పడాలు paḍavālu. n. A commander of an army. సేనాధిపతి, దళవాయి. 'కనపపులు వేల్పుపడవాలుగన్నచోటు.' Rice in the husk, usually called paddy. వడ్లు. వరిచేను or వరిమాగాణి a rice field. ఎర్రసన్నవరి a small kind of rice with a red husk. తెల్లసన్నవరి a small kind of rice with a white husk. పడువరి the crop that rises from grains of paddy that have fallen accidentally. వరిగడ్డి vari-gaḍḍi. n. Rice straw. శాలితృణము. వరిగిం౛లు vari-gindzalu. n. Rice in the husk. వరిపొట్ట vari-poṭṭa. n. The unopened ear of rice. కలమగర్భము. వరిబీజము vari-bījamu. n. Swelled testicle, orchitis, hydrocele, or hernia. ఒకపక్కవాచిన వృషణము, బుడ్డ. వరిముల్లు vari-mullu. n. The awn or beard of rice in the husk. ధాన్యశూకము.

(p. 1246) śāntamu ṣāntamu. [Skt.] adj. Calm, patient, tranquil, meek, humble; appeased, calmed, stilled, శమితము. n. Patience, mildness, gentleness, tranquility. ఓర్పు, తాలిమి, సమానము. శాంతి ṣānti. n.
