(p. 668) nīru nīru. [Tel.] adj. Slight. అల్పము. నీరెండ the soft sunshine (ఎండ) of evening. 'నీరెండగాయ.' A vi. 129. నీరుపదును slight sharpness, కొంచెమువాడి. నీరుపాయము nīru-pāyamu. n. Youth, adolescence, యౌవనము. నీరుకావి or నీర్కావి nīru-kāvi. n. A reddish tint. the soft tint of fine cloth after its newness has gone off. కొంచెమెరుపు. నీరు కావులు nīru-kārulu. n. A sort of grain. H. iv. 158. నీరుకాళ్లు nīru-kāḷḷu. n. Lit: Reddish legs, i.e., the rays of the sun at sunrise and sunset. కొంచెమెర్రని రంగుగలవై రెండు సంధ్యవేళలందును కనబడు సూర్యకిరణములు 'నిడుదలైతిలకించె నీరుకాళ్లు.' హరి. పూ. vii.

(p. 1063) rajamu or రజస్సు rajamu. [Skt.] n. Dust, దుమ్ము, రవ. Filings, రాపొడి. The dust or pollen of flowers, పుప్పొడి. The menses, ముట్టునెత్తురు. రజస్సు or రజోగుణము rajassu. The second of three guṇas, or qualities, i.e., passion; the earthly nature, the natural man, the flesh, that which produces sensual desire, worldliness, coveting and falsehood, and is the cause of pain. రజస్వల rajasvala. n. A menstruous woman, ఋతుమతిగానుండే స్త్రీ, ముట్టుది. రజస్వలఅగు rajasvala-agu. v. n. To become adolescent. రజస్వల అయినది the maiden is come to puberty.
