(p. 155) uttariñcu uttarinṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To cross or pass over. To amputate: to divide cloth into separate pieces, to refund, repay, restore. ఉత్తారకుడు uttārakuḍu. n. One who helps one to cross. A saviour, a deliverer. దాటించువాడు; రక్షకుడు.

(p. 512) tarigiñcu tariginṭsu. [Tel. from తరుగు.] v. t. To cut off, lop, amputate. తరుగునట్లు చేయు.

(p. 513) tarugu or తరువు tarugu. [Tel.] v. a. To be worn away. తగ్గు, క్షయించు. To pass away, to be done or finished. గతించు. M. XIV. ii. 139. HD. i. 1982. దోవతరగలేదు the way does not become shorter. ఎంత వ్రాసినాగాని పని తరిగేది లేదు however long he wrote, the work does not terminate. హౌసుతరుగును. fortune will cease or depart. కొలిచినదాన్నే మళ్లీ కొలిస్తే తరుగును if you measure grain twice, some of it will be lost. v. a. (p. 890) buḍipi or బుడ్పి buḍipi. [Tel.] n. A bump or swelling. Callus; an excrescence, బొప్పి. A knot or joint in a cane. కణుపు, మ్రానియందలిముడి. The stump of an amputated hand, &c.

(p. 1045) mōḍu or మ్రోడు mōḍu. [Tel.] n. The stump of a tree. మొద్దు, స్థాణువు. The stump of an arm or leg which has been amputated. కోయగా మిగిలిన కాలుచెయ్యి మొదలైనది. A stumbling block. A knoll or rising ground, the crest of a hill. మిట్ట. మోడుచరుచు, మోడుపడు or మోడ్పడు mōdu-ṭsaruṭsu. v. n. To become blunt, మొక్కగు. To become hardened or coarse, మోటగు. To break to pieces, తునుగు, ఖండితమగు. మోడుపరుచు moḍu-paruṭsu. v. a. To cut. ఖండించు. To reduce to a stump. To be motionless,నిశ్చేష్టితమగు.
