(p. 161) upakaraṇamu upa-karaṇamu. [Skt.] n. An instrument, implement, apparatus, an appendage. సాధనము. ఉపకరించు upa-karinṭsu. v. a. To be of use, benefit, do good to. ఉపకారము upa-kāramu. n. Beneficence, kindness, obligation, aid, help. మేలు ఉపకారి upa-kāri. adj. Beneficent, kind, charitable, obliging, assisting. n. One who does good. ఉపకారిక upa-kārika. n. The temporary abode of a king. రాజు యొక్క విడిది యిల్లు ఉప్పరిగ, ఉపకృతి upa-kriti. n. Aid, assistance, kindness. మేలు.

(p. 442) cannu ṭsannu. [Tel.] n. The breast of a woman or man. The tubers of a palmyra or of a mangrove tree. మొగిలి ఊడ, తాటిచుండు. చంటిపిల్ల an infant at the breast. మేకమెడచన్ను the teat-like appendages at the neck of the Indian goat. చంటిలో ఎముకలు ఏరనట్లు చేసేవాడు he is a keen investigator. చన్నుపాలు or చనుబాలు human milk. చన్నుగవ, చనుగవ, చన్గవ, చనుదోయి or చన్దోయి ṭsannu-gava. n. The two breasts. చన్నులు. చనుకట్టు, చన్నట్టు or చన్నుగప్పు ṭsanu-kaṭṭu. n. A bodice. రవిక.

(p. 1027) mēka mēka. [Tel.] n. A goat. మేకపిల్ల a kid. మేకవన్నెపులి a tiger of the color of a goat. i.e., a wolf in sheep's clothing. వెంటిమేక a she-goat. మేకపోతు a he-goat. పిల్లలుమేకలుగలవారము I am the head of a large family containing many individuals of both sexes. The Indians goat has excrescences like teats on the neck: as these are useless, వాడు వట్టిమేక మెడచన్ను denotes He is a mere useless burden or appendage. మేకతిండి meka-tinḍi. n. That which feeds on goats, i.e., a wolf, తోడేలు, మేకము [borrowed by Skt. from Tel.] n. Same as మేక. మేకమేయనాకు mēka-mēyan-āku. n. A certain poisonous herb. H. iv. 14.
