(p. 117) ābāḍu ābādu. [H.] adj. Cultivated, prosperous. n. A town. పట్టణము. ఆబాదుపరుచు or ఆబాదుచేయు to cultivate; also, to make a place habitable. ఆ గ్రామమును ఆబాదు చేసెను. he made the village a great town.

(p. 876) bāḍu bāḍu. [Tel.] n. A veil or covering, ముసుగు. బాడుగోలు bāḍu-gōlu. (బాడు+కోలు .) n. A low or mean man, మానహీనుడు. బాడుదల bāḍudala. (బాడు+తలగించు.) n. Putting one to shame, అవమానించుట.

(p. 876) bāḍuva or బాడవ bāḍuva. [Tel.] n. Marshy land, పల్లపునేల.

(p. 877) bādu bādu. [Tel.] v. a. To thrash, beat, cudgel. పడబాదు to knock down. n. Fees in grain paid to the village servants before the division of a crop. బాదుమాన్యము an allowance of grain given to the village servants in those Paraganas where more ground was formerly given away by the local authorities than existed in reality. (Vizāg.) బాదుకొను bāḍukonu. v. a. To beat oneself. బాదుగా bādu-gā. adv. From time immemorial.

(p. 1346) sūṭi sūṭi. [Tel.] n. An aim an expedient. గురి, ఉపాయము. Manner, విధము. ఈ పని సూటిపడునా will this business succeed? నీ మనసుకు సూటిగా ఉన్నట్టయితే if it seems right to you. adj. Straight, not crooked, right, చక్కని, తిన్నని, తిరుగుళ్లులేని, సరియైన. 'సూటిమార్గముజూపే శూలధరుడు.' Chenna v. 415. సూటిగా sūṭi-gā. adv. Duly, straight, in a light line. సరిగా, నొసటికి సూటిగా రాయివేసినాడు he threw the stone straight at his forehead. సూటికాడు sūti-bāḍu. n. A marksman, గురికాడు. A handsome person, అందగాడు. సూటిగొను sūṭi-gonu. v. n. To fit, suit, agree. ౛తపడు, పొసగు, సరిపడు. 'సూటిగొనసాటివచ్చు ౛క్కవనుక్కడించి.' Bilh. ii. 194. సూటిపడు sūṭi-paḍu. v. n. To hit correctly, సరితాకు.
