(p. 17) ambāḷamu or అంబాళవృక్షము ambālamu. [Tel.] The hog-plum (Spondias mangifera). the fruit resembling the mango. నోరు అంబాళపుపండు చెయ్యి బలుసుముల్లు your mouth is like a sweet plum and your hand is like a thornbush. (Carr).

[Tel.] n. Obstacle, hindrance, obstruction. అడ్డి, విఘ్నము. అడ్డబాస aḍḍa-bāsa. n. A nose jewel. బులాకి. అడ్డబొట్టు aḍḍa-boṭṭu. A cross mark worn by the Hindus on their fore-head. అడ్డమాను aḍḍa-mānu.
