An agreement, engagement, compact, treaty, covenant, consent, assent సమ్మతి; నిబంధన పత్రిక; సమ్మతించి వ్రాసి యిచ్చిన వ్రాత. ఒడంబడు oḍam-baḍu. v. t. To agree, engage, consent. To comply with, to concede సమ్మతించు. ఒడంబరుచు oḍam-baruṭsu. v. t. To persuade, convince. ఒడచాటు Same as ఒడంబడిక.

(p. 258) kaliyu or కలియు kaliyu. [Tel.] v. n. To mix, join, mingle. To collect, assemble. To coalesce. To agree, correspond, match. To be included in, to fall under. To set to work, being to do. దిక్కులు కలియచూచి looking all round. దృష్టి కలిసినప్పుడు when our eyes met. అతనిభూమిలో కలిసినస్థలము a spot included in his land. ఆ దారి ఇక్కడ కలియుచున్నది that road meets here. సభ కలిపినది, or సభ కలిసిపోయినది the assembly has broken up or adjourned: కలియగలుపు kaliya-galupa n. Familiarity, affability. కలియగలుపుగానుండే familiar, easy, affable. కలియబడు kaliya-baḍu v. n. To meddle with. To rush, fall (upon enemies) వాండ్లు మామీద కలియబడ్డారు they rushed upon us. To become entangled. 'అరుతసరులుకలియంబడుచు.' B. viii. 457. కలియబెట్టు. kaliya-beṭṭu. v. a. To mix, to stir.

(p. 270) kānabaḍu or కానబట్టు kānabaḍu. [Tel.] v. n. Appear, seem. See కాను.

(p. 272) kābaḍu kā-baḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To become. అగు.

(p. 293) kutika , కుతికె or కుత్తిక. kutika. [Tel.] n. The gullet. Tone, voice. వానికి కుతిక కమ్మినది he is hoarse. కుతికమట్టుకు neck deep. కుతికంటు kutik-anṭu. [కుతిక+అంటు] n. A necklace worn close round the throat. కుతికలబడు kutikala-baḍu. v. n. To flop down. చతికలబడు. 'మసలక యాతనిమణికట్టు బట్టి కుడియదాకించిన కుతికలబడియె.' Pal. 251.

(p. 303) kūḍu kūḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To be fit. తగు. To unite చేరు. To be possible. To accrue, be amassed, gained, acquired, come to hand. To agree, be united. v. a. To meet. To add or sum up. ఇందులో కూడినపని a matter connected herewith. దొమ్మికూడివచ్చిరి they came in a a mob. ఇదియును కూడక పోయిన and if this be out of the question. ఇది కూడకుంటే if this is impracticable. ఇక్కడికి రాకూడక as I could not go there. వారు నోరెత్తగూడలేదు they could not say a word. కూడని kūḍani. adj. Unsuitable, improper. కూడనిమాట an unappropriate word. కూడబడు kūḍa-baḍu. v. n. To meet, unite చేరు. కూడబెట్టు kūḍa-beṭṭu. v. a. To collect. చేర్చు. To save as money. కూడమి kūḍami. n. Impossibility. కూడముట్టు kūḍa-muṭṭu. v. t. To run after తరుముకొనిపోవు, to overtake or come up with కలిసికొను. కూడలి kūḍali. n. In an unbroken line, all in one stream. ఒక వరుసగా. చొరబడు or చొరబారు ṭsora-baḍu. v. n. To enter or rush into, to break into, to intrude on. చొచ్చు. ఆ కథ యిందులో చొరబడదు that tale does not form a part of this. చొరవ ṭsorava. n. An entrance. ప్రవేశము. Daring సాహసము. Keen-mindedness బుద్ధి కుశలత. Use, familiarity, aptitude, introduction. Desire ఇచ్ఛ. చొరవగల easy of access. వ్యాకరణములో వానికి మంచిచొరవ కలదు he has an aptitude for grammar. వానికి అన్నపు చొరవేకాని అక్షరపుచొరవలేదు he is sharp enough at eating but slow at reading. చొరవకత్తె a forward woman. చొరవకాడు a forward man. మాట చొరనియ్యడు he will not let a word be heard: or, he will not listen. చొరకమానె he did not enter. చొరిగాడు ṭsorigāḍu. n. A hunter.

(p. 501) tagulu tagulu. [Tel.] v. a. & n. To happen, occur, turn up, appear. To belong to. appertain to, to come in contact with, to touch, hit, strike. To be caught; got, found, joined, entangled, understood. To be received (as a blow), incurred (as expense or punishment.) n. See under తగులము. ఆ యింటికి నిప్పుతగిలినది the house caught fire. ఇక్కడ గాలి తగులుచున్నది the wind strikes here, here we get the breeze. పెండ్లితగిలినది there was a marriage. ప్రయాణము తగిలినది he had occasion to make a journey. అక్కడ మంచినీళ్లు తగిలినవి there we found fresh water. వానికి దెబ్బతగిలినది he received a blow. కుండ కాలికి తగిలినది the pot touched my foot. ఓడ మెరకు తగిలినది the ship ran aground. వానికి రోగముతగలకుండ to prevent his catching the disease. అతనితిట్లు నాకు తగలలేదు his abuse did not affect me. ఇది వానిమనసునకు తగిలినది this was impressed upon his mind. వెంటతగులు to pursue. తగులుకొని వచ్చిరి they attacked, they followed. అడ్డముతగులు to oppose, to come in the way. పదిరూకలు తగిలినవి it cost ten cash. తగులుకొను tagulu-konu. v. n. To be involved or entangled with. చిక్కుకొను. To fall in love with. వలచు. To catch fire. అది వాణ్ని తగులుకొనిపోయినది she has gone off with him. ఆ యిల్లు తగులుకొన్నది the house caught fire. తగలబడు or తగులబడు tagala-baḍu. v. n. To burn or be set on fire. ఇల్లు తగలబడ్డది the house was burnt. తగలబెట్టు or తగులబెట్టు tagala-beṭṭu. v. a. To set fire to, to kindle, to burn అడివిని తగలబెట్టిరి they burned the forest. తగులుబడి tagulu-baḍi. n. Expense, charge, cost, outlay. పట్టుబడి. తగులుబాటు tagulu-bāṭu. n. Charge, cost, expense. తగులవడు to be caught. చిక్కు, పట్టుపడు.
