(p. 136) idi idi. [Tel.] pron. She, it, this. The 6th case is దీని and the acc. దీనిని as దీని నెరిగింపు declare this. The abl. is దీన or దీనిచేత 'hereby.' plu. ఇవి నాకు చాలా ఇదిగానున్నది I am very much out of sorts. ఆ నడత బహు యిదిగా నున్నది that conduct is not the thing, is so and so. ఇదిగో, or ఇదుగో idigō [ఇది+కొమ్ము lit take this] interj. Look! do you see! behold! here it is! ఇదుగో యిస్తాను అదుగో యిస్తున్నానని అంటాడు he puts me off with empty promises Lit. Here I will give it, there I will give it, says he. ఇదుగో వస్తానని చెప్పెను or ఇదుగో వచ్చెదననెను he promised to return presently. ఇదె Same as ఇదిగో.

Variegated colour. పొడలపురుగు a spotted worm or serpent. పొడకట్టు poḍa-kaṭṭu. v. n. To make an appearance, to seem, appear, be visible, కనబడు, ప్రత్యక్షమగు, తోచు. నాకు ఆలాగు పొడకట్టినది it struck me so. పొడగను, పొడగాంచు or పొడచూచు poḍa-ganu. To see, view, behold. చూచు. (p. 859) bandi bandi. [from Skt. బంధము.] n. Imprisonment, confinement. చెర, కయిదుచేయడము, నిర్బంధము. That which is imprisoned, చెరబడ్డది. 'బావింపమనుమాడ బందిచిక్కితిమి.' (BD. ii. 800.) behold we have fallen into his hands. బంధికాడు bandi-kāḍu. n. A marauder, a high-way-man. బందిపోటుదొంగ. 'బందికాడైన పొరువులు బ్రతుకగనునె.' Swa. iii. 157. బందిగము bandi-gamu. n. (p. 1107) lē lē. [Tel.] The base of the negative forms లేక, లేని, లేదు, &c. లేక lēka. past participle of లేదు. Not being, not being present, without, wanting. అతడు అక్కడ లేకపోవుటవల్ల by his not being there. వానికి రూకలు లేకపోవుటవల్ల by being in want of money. దాన్ని అణిచేవారులేక యిట్లు విడబడి తిరిగినది she played these pranks as there was no one to check her. కూటికిలేక being in want of food. When added to the infinitive, it means Unable. రాలేక unable to come. దానిని చూడలేక unable to look at it, unable to bear the sight of it. లేకుండ or లేకుండా lēk-unḍā. is used in much the same way as లేక; e.g. అతడు లేకుండ నావల్లకాదు I cannot do it without him లేకుండాచేయు lēk-unḍā-chēyu. v. a. To do away, to get rid of, to turn out. నివృత్తిచేయు. వారిని ఆ యింటిలోలేకుండా చేయుము turn them out of the house. అది వాడు ఇవ్వనక్కరలేకుండా చేస్తిని I relieved him from the necessity of giving it. లేకుండు lēk-unḍu. v. n. To be absent, to be wanting. లేడు lēḍu. He is not; he is not present. ఇంటిలోలేడు he is not in the house. చేయలేడు he cannot do it. వీక్షంపగలేడయ్యె. he could not behold it. లేదా lēdā. It it not? or, or else. అది అక్కడ లేదా is it not there? లేదు lēdu. It is not. అది అక్కడ లేదు. it is not there. లేనట్టు lēn-aṭṭu. As if it is not అతడు లేనట్టున్నది it appears he is not there. అతడు లేనట్టు తెలిసి knowing that he was not there. లేని lēni. adj. Devoid of. తెలివిలేనివాడు he who is devoid of sense. వాడు నోరులేనివాడు he is a dumb creature, a mere fool. తప్పులేని faultless. దోవలేని అడవి a pathless forest. వెలలేనిమాణిక్యము a priceless gem. లేనిపోనిపని nonsense, a fool's errand. లేనిపోనిసౌఖ్యములు vain deluding joys. లేనిమాటలు slanders, falsehoods. లేనిపోనిసాకు a false pretence. పోరులేని పోరుపుట్టె నీప్రొద్దు a dispute arose without cause. 'అదియుగాక రాజ్యమును మహాభూతంబు సోకినప్పు డెట్టిసుజనులకును లేనిచీకుదనములేనిమూగతనము, లేని చెవుడు గొంతయైనకలదు.' K. P. v. 248. లేనివారు the absent; the poor. లేమి lēmi. n. A certain fish, like a small pomfret but with the tail and fins different, a species of stromateus. సుడిపోవు suḍi-pōvu. v. n. To become useless, వ్యర్థమగు. సుడియ suḍiya. n. Half a bundle of betel leaf. తమలపాకుల మాటలోసగము. A rascal, villain, తులువ. 'చూచియల్లననవ్విసుడియలుమీరు.' Pal. సుడియడిదము, సుడికయిదువు or సుడివాలు suḍi-y-aḍidamu. n. The short circular missile weapon or discus of Vishnu. చక్రాయధము, సుదర్శనము. సుడియు suḍiyu. v. n. To blow like a whirlwind, చుట్టిచుట్టివీచు. To surround, చుట్టుకొను. To appear, పొడచూపు, అగుపడు. To twist or get entangled, to turn. To hesitate, be puzzled, confused, entangled or ensnared, చీకాకుపడు, కలవరపడు. చలించు, తిరుగు, మెలిపడు. To swoon or faint, సొమ్మసిల్లు, మూర్ఛిల్లు. 'ఈ దివడిసడలి సుడివడుచు నెడలోము సోమరిగాలి.' Swa. iii. 38. 'నీదుసైన్యముల్ సుడివడ భీష్ముదాకుటయు జూచి.' M. VI. ii. 294. Plu. సుళ్లు. సుళ్లుమారి suḷḷa-māri. n.
