To be stained or soiled అక్కడ ఉచ్చ కటగట్టినది the place was soiled with urine. కరవాక kara-vāka. n. A backwater, or marsh near the sea.

(p. 251) karidūpamu kari-dūpamu. [Tel. another form of కరదూపము.] n. Dirt; particularly cobwebs; soot; the blackness produced by wood smoke, as distinct from కాటుక or lampblack.

(p. 362) gāzu gāzu. [Tel.] n. Glass; any vitrified substance such as chinaware or a bracelet, which is made of glass black as jet. Hence, blackness. A bracelet. బంగారు గాజులు bracelets made of gold. Various kinds of bracelets are called గొల్లగాజులు, ఈడిగెగాజులు, మెలిగాజులు, తురకగాజులు, and లక్కపట్టెగాజులు. గాజులు the wards of a lock. గా౛ుకప్పెరలు gāzu-kapperalu. [Tel.] n. A certain sort of grain. H. iv. 156. గా౛ునీలము gāzu-nīlamu. n. An artificial sapphire. Also, deep blue or black. NH. v. 46. గా౛ురొయ్య gāzu-royya. n. A crayfish or large prawn. గా౛ుపారు gāzu-pāru. v. n. To blacken or turn blck కాంతిహీనమగు. గా౛ుప్పు gāz-uppu. n. Dross of a glasswork, scoriæ. గా౛ురాయి gāzu-rāyi. n. A glassy stone. Jet. గా౛ులవాండ్లు gāzula-vānḍlu. n. A certain caste who deal in glass bracelets.

(p. 375) guṇamu guṇamu. [Skt.] n. A quality, property, virtue, disposition, temper, character, or attribute. Tendency, effect, purpose, use. A symptom as of disease. వానికి గుణమువచ్చినది he is now come to his senses. నీలగుణము blackness. మంచి గుణము goodness, good temper. మోహగుణము the passion of lust. వానికి గుణముగానున్నది he is better, he has recovered. పది రూపాయలుయిస్తే గుణమే if he gives ten rupees so much the better. అందువల్ల యేమిగుణము what is the use of it? వానితో మాట్లాడితే గుణము లేదు there is no good in speaking to him. పది గుణములుగల or గడియకు ఒక గుణముగల freakish, changeable, whimsical వాంతిభ్రాంతిగుణము an attack or symptoms of cholera. The three Gunas are Rajah (passion) Tamah foulness: and Satvam (Truth). Added to a numeral, thus ద్విగుణము twice as much or two-fold. త్రిగుణము thrice as much, or three-fold. గుణము n.
