(p. 249) karakasa or కరకసా karakasa. [Tel.] n. Ill will, contention, jealousy, spite. A contest regarding boundaries of land. A border feud. కరకసభూమి. కరకసాస్థలము disputed land, debatable ground.

(p. 253) karkaśamu karkaṣamu. [Skt.] adj. Violent, harsh, rough to the feel, rugged. Hard, cruel, unfeeling కనికరములేని, కరువైన, నొప్పించే. కర్కశమైనమాటలు harsh words. కర్కశము or కర్కస or కరకసా n. Roughness, want of smoothness: ruggedness. కరుకు. A feud, an old grudge, particularly between those who dispute about their respective boundaries. కర్కసపొలము debatable land, ground claimed by both parties.

A limit, a boundary. ఎల్ల. గడికొల్లలు plundering on the borders. గడినేలలు boundary lands. గడిమెకము a cunning animal which evades the hunter వేటకుచిక్కని మృగము. గడితేరు to be expert, నిపుణుడగు, కడలేరు. plu. గళ్లు. గళ్లుచేయు to mark the boundaries. గడి gaḍi. n. Strength, a stronghold, fortalice or petty fort బలము. కోట, దుర్గము. గడి adj. Big, stout. గడిగుండు a big stone. గడితాడు a stout rope. A tether, a couple for two cattle. గడికాళ్లువేయు to tie up the legs of two animals together with a rope. రెండు పశువులకు ఒక్కొక్క కాలుచేర్చి లంకెవేయు. గడిదొంగ a great clever thief. గడికరణము the principal writer. గడిపోతు a bull ఆబోతు; a great scoundrel, చెడ్డగొడ్డు.

(p. 1240) śaṅkuvu ṣankuvu. [Skt.] n. A stump. A spike, stake, pole, pin, peg. స్థాణూవు, మోడు, మేకు. శంకుస్థాపనము establishing a new village by setting stakes on its boundaries.

(p. 1335) sīma sīma. [Tel.] n. A country, district: (Colloquially,) a foreign country, as Europe or England. దేశము, (వాడుకగా) యూరోపుఖండము, లేక, ఇంగ్లండుదేశము. A kingdom, రాజ్యము. A limit, boundary, barrier, border, frontier, ఎల్ల, పొలిమేర, హద్దు. A part, place, site, స్థలము, ప్రదేశము. సీమాచిహ్నములు ఏర్పరచిరి they fixed the boundaries. సీమలుగానిసీమలు countries which are not our home, i. e. foreign lands. మా సీమను పట్టుకోన్నారు they seizes our lands. adj. Foreign, not native. సీమకోడి a turkey సీమసున్నము white chalk. సీమచింతచెట్టు a kind of tree. సీమరేణిచెట్టు a kind of jungle tree.
