(p. 495) ḍubuḍakka ḍubu-ḍakka. [Tel.] n. A small rattling drum. డుబుడక్కలవాడు or బుడబుడక్కులవాడు ḍubu-ḍakkala-vāḍu. n. A mountebank or wizard who uses a drum as a sign of his trade.

Ainsl. ii. 428. కూతురుబుడమ and కోడిబుడమకాయ are various species. బుడమకాయలాగు తిరుగుతాడు he is running about here and there; (a phrase regarding a dumpy little man, who goes poking about.) బుడమపండ్లు the ripe fruit of the Bryonia. బుడమనరుగు the Bryonia callosa cut and dried for pickling. బుడమచేప buḍama-chēpa. n. A sort of fish.

(p. 890) buḍamu buḍamu. [Tel.] n. The beginning, source, root. మొదలు. వానికి నాలుక బుడమునకు పెరుకుకొనివచ్చెను his tongue fell off from the root. నీచవులు బుడములంట తెగగోనెదను I will cut off your ears to the root.
