A parrot. ముద్దులచిలక my darling! my pet! చిలకపలుకులు Sweet accents. తెల్లచిలక a cockatoo. పంచరంగుచిలక the maccaw. మైనాచిలక the maina. పుట్టలచిలక or అడివిచిలక the Sirkeer Cuckoo. Jerdon. No. 230. రామచిలక. The Rose-ringed Paroquet, Palaeornis torquatus (so called because taught to reiterate the name of Rāma.) అకుచిలక the Western Blossom-headed Paroquet, Palacornis cyanōecphalus. The name is given to some insects, as a moth, thus, ఆకుచిలక, వడ్లచిలక a moth. గడ్డిచిలక, సీతాకోకచిలక a butterfly. A padlock. The bolt or hasp of a door, because these originally had parrot's heads on them. చిలుకల కొలికి a bright-eyed girl or woman. చక్కని స్త్రీ. చిలకకూర or చిలకతోటకూర chilaka-kūra. n. A kind of pot-herb, Amarantus fasciatus. (Watts.) చిలక, చిలకట or చిలుకడ chilaka. n. A saddle buckle: a ring at the end of the rope used as a girth of the bullock saddle through which the other end is passed to fasten the saddle. కొలికిముడి. చిలకడతాడు chilakada-tāḍu. n. A girth. ఎద్దుమీదికందళము, గంతబిగించేతాడు. చిలకకొయ్య or చిలుకకొయ్య chilaka-koyya. n. A wooden pin fixed in the wall, on which articles are suspended. చిలగడ chilagaḍa. (చిలుక+గడ.) n. The cord that fastens a dagger, to prevent its falling out of the sheath. చిలకతాళము chilaka-tāḷamu. n. A padlock. చిలకతాళి or చిలుకతాళి chilaka-tāḷi. n. A gold buckle in the form of a pair of parrots. చిలుకదుదుడి chilaka-duduḍi. n. The name of a certain tree. చిలకపచ్చ chilaka-paṭsṭsa. n. Bright green, parrot green. చిలకమొక్క or చిలకముక్కు chilaka-mokka. n. (lit. Parrot's bill.) A plant called crotolaria. శుకాననము, శుకనాస. Heyne, 130. The purple red and white scentless flower called Balsam. చిలకరౌతు chilaka-rautu. n. Lit: He whose steed is the parrot: an epithet of మన్మథ the god of love. చిలుక కోణము chiluka-kōṃamu. n. A 'T bandage,' or clout.

(p. 1036) mogamu or మొకము mogamu. [from Skt. ముఖము.] n. The face. ముఖము. Front, ఎదురు. An entrance, door, ద్వారము. adj. Chief, ముఖ్యము. మొగచాటు moga-ṭsāṭu. n. Surfeit, disgust in eating, ముఖముకొట్టడము. 'తినతినజిహ్వకు తీపైన మొగచాటు, సారెకుబలుకుట చప్పదనము.' Venkatēswara. §. 16. మొగతప్పు or మొగతిరుగు moga-tappu. v. n. To have the face turned away, విముఖమగు. మొగదల mogadala. n. The end or butt (of a wall.) ఎదురు, ముందటిభాగము. మొగవట్ట or మొగముట్టు moga-paṭṭa. n. An ornament for a horse's head something like a cavesson ముఖపట్ట. 'మణులమొగపట్ట పన్నిసాహిణియొకండు.' Swa. iv. 37. మొగపడు moga-paḍu. v. a. To see, చూచు. మొగపాళము or మొగవాళము moga-pāḷamu. n. The front portion of a house, &c. ఇల్లు లోనగు వాని ముందటిభాగము. మొగపిరికి moga-piriki. (మొగము + పిరికి.) n. A tortoise, తాబేలు. మొగముతప్పించు to abscond, disappear. మొగపు mogapu. (మొగ + పూస.) n. The front portion of a necklace, హారాదుల ముఖభాగము. A buckle. కంఠభూషణము యొక్క ముఖభాగము. 'ధాత్రీ మహాదేవి తాల్చిన మున్నీటి మొలమాలిరత్నంపు మొగపనంగ.' Prabhavati Pradyumnam, i. 3. మొగమిచ్చు moga-miṭsṭsu. v. n. To show the face, to favour, to be pleased, సుముఖుడగు. మొగమోటమి, మొగమొటము, మొగమోట or మోగమోటమి mogamōṭami. n. Partiality, pity, compassion, దాక్షిణ్యము. Hesitation, doubt, సంకోచము. మొగమోడు mogam-ōḍu. v. n. To be ashamed. సిగ్గుపడు. 'ముంగిటికే తెంచి మొగమోడనగునె.' Abhim. 47. To be partial, దాక్షిణ్యపడు. To hesitate, సంకోచించు. మొగవాడ moga-vāḍa. n. The front door of a temple. గోపుర ద్వారము. 'అరిమురిమొగవాడ దెరచివీక్షింప.' BD. iv. 661. మొగవీణె moga-vīṇe. n. A kind of వీణె, ముఖవీణె. మొగసరి moga-sari. (మొగము + అరి.) Same as మొగముట్టు (q. v.) మొగసాల, మొగసల or మోసాల moga-sāla. n. An entrance hall. నడవ. ముఖమంటపము, నగరితల వాకిటిచావడి. 'నీ తమ్ముండు పెద్ద మొగసాలం జాలు మానసులం గావలివెట్టి.' M. ix. ii. 34. A porch in front of a house, తలవాకిటిపంచ.

(p. 1314) savaramu savaramu. [from skt. చమరమ్.] n. The hair of the yak or Tartarian ox, చమరమృగము, which is used by women a queue. False hair used by women. పట్టుసవరము an imitation of this made in silk సవరుపుకుప్పె the gold buckle worn by women on this false hair, చమరమృగ సంబంధమైనకుచ్చు. సవరపుమెకము savarapumekamu. n. The yak or Tartarian ox. చమరమృగము.
