(p. 191) elanāga ela-nāga. [Tel.] n. Pleasure. Satisfaction. సంతోషము, తృప్తి ఎలిమిని pleasantly. ఎలిమికాడు elami-kāḍu. n. A cheerful or jolly man. విలాసవంతుడు.

(p. 193) esagu esagu. [Tel.] v. a. To be or happen. To arise, appear, or be felt, as a passion. To increase. తనరు, అతిశయించు. కోపమెసగ angrily. హర్షమెసగ joyfully. వైభవ మెసంగ prosperously. సంతసమెసంగ cheerfully. మరులెసగ amorously. కంకణక్వాణమెసగ (her) bracelets ringing aloud. పొలుపెసంగ beautifully పొలుపార.

(p. 414) cittamu chittamu. [Skt.] n. The mind or intellect; the heart, considered as the seat of intellect: inclination, will, pleasure. మీచిత్తము (or simply చిత్తము) your pleasure! as you please! yes, sir! చిత్తానకు తేవలెను be so good as to consider this. ప్రవేశము చిత్తగించలవెను pray acknowledge the receipt of this letter. చిత్తానుసారముగా according to one's own pleasure or as one see fit. చిత్తగించు chitta-ginṭsu. v. a. To listen, grant attention keep or retain in mind, attend to, mind, note, observe, remark, examine, investigate. మనస్కరించు. To think, తలచు; to hear a prayer, to consider యోచించు. At the close of a letter the words చిత్తగించవలెను. 'Please to consider this' are equivalent to the phrase ('I remain, &c') అట్లు చిత్తగించినాడు he came to this decision (used of a superior.) చిత్తగించవలెను I beg you to or, do me the favor to. చిత్తచాంచల్యము chitta-chānchalyamu. n. Aberration of the intellect. Insanity. చిత్తచాంచల్యము chitta-vṛitti. n. Temper, wish, inclination, disposition. Will, pleasure, determination. చిత్రుడు and చిత్తురాలు chittuḍu. adj. Minded. This is used in compound phrases, thus: సంతోషచిత్తుడు a cheerful man. క్రూరచిత్తులై cruel-hearted. శాంతచిత్తుడు a gentle character.

(p. 990) mīru mīru. [Tel.] v. n. and a. To exceed, transgress, pass, excel, అతిశయించు, కడచు, అతిక్రమించు. ఇడు మీరిసపడుచు a grown up girl. మీరిన్ excessively, extremely. రూఢిమీర certainly. సొగసుమీర prettily. చ నువుమీర affectionately. బాగుమీరంగ healthfully, cheerfully, i.e., well. బాళి మీరంగ sorrowfully. (p. 1220) vēḍuka or వేడ్క vēḍuka. [Tel.] n. A spectacle, show, display, pomp, feast, festival. Curiosity, interest, joy, glee, delight. కుతూహలము, సంతోషము, వినోదము; సంబరము, ఇచ్ఛ, అభిలాష. వేడుకపడు to be happy or pleased. adj. Novel, curious. Delightful, pleasant, amusing. Happy, pleased. వినోదకరము, కుతూహలమైన, సంబరమైన. నిండావేడుకగా నుండినారు they were much pleased, very merry. వేడుకగా or వేడ్కగా vēḍuka-gā. adv. Pompously, splendidly, in an interesting manner, pleasantly, happily, cheerfully. సంబరముగా, జంబముగా. వేడుకకత్తె vēḍuka-katte. n. A belle. A courtezan, a harlot, an adulteress. జారస్త్రీ, వేశ్య. వేడుకకాడు or వేడ్కగాడు vēḍuka-kāḍu. n. A fop, a man of pleasure, a lover, an adulterer. విటుడు, క్రీడాసక్తుడు. One who takes a delight in anything, కుతూహలపరుడు, అపేక్షకుడు, వినోదకరుడు. వేడుక౛ూదము vēḍu-ka-ḍzūdamu. n. Gambling for pleasure. వేడుకపడు, వేడ్కపడు, వేడుకచేయు or వేడ్కనేయు vēḍuka-paḍu. v. n. To rejoice, to be delighted, to desire eagerly, కుతూహలపడు, అపేక్షించు.

(p. 1338) sukhamu sukhamu. [Skt.] n. Happiness, welfare, health, safety, pleasure, enjoyment, delight. ఆనందము, ఆరోగ్యము, సౌఖ్యము, క్షేమము. Heaven, స్వర్గము. నయనసుఖము the delight of one's eyes, the name of a kind of cloth. adj. Pleasing, delightful, agreeable, comfortable, easy, happy, well, cheerful, healthy. ఆనందమైన, ఆరోగ్యమైన, క్షేమమైన. సుఖసత్కథానినోదంబున నుండగా while he was passing his time agreeably in listening to a pious story. సుఖజీవనము sukha-jīvanamu. n. A happy or easy life. కష్టములేనిబ్రతుకు. సుఖజీవి sukha-jīvi. n. A prosperous or happy person. కష్టములేక జీవనముచేయువాడు. సుఖ ప్రసవము an easy and safe accouchement. సుఖభోగి one who lives at ease. సుఖభోగులు sukha-bhōgulu. n. A sort of grain. ధాన్యవిశేషము. H. iv. 157. సుఖముగా sukhamu-gā. adv. Happily, safely, in good circumstances. సంతోషముగా, క్షేమముగా, మీ తండ్రి సుఖముగానున్నాడా is your father well? సుఖవాసి or సుఖప్రాణి sukha-vāsi. n. A delicate, luxurious person, one who lives at ease. సుకుమారము గానుండేవాడు. సుఖసంకటము or సుఖరోగము sukha-sankaṭamu. n. (lit. the pains of pleasure) Venereal disease. మండలరోగము. సుఖాసీనుడు sukh-āsīnuḍu. n. One who is seated at his ease. హాయిగా కూర్చున్నవాడు. సుఖి sukhi. n. One who is happy, one who possesses happiness or pleasure, one who is in good health, సుఖముగలవాడు, సుఖించు or సుఖియించు sukhinṭsu. v. n. To be happy, well or at ease; to be glad, rejoice, be comforted. ఆనందించు, హర్షించు.

(p. 1355) sompu sompu. [Tel.] n. Elegance, grace, సొగసు. అందము. Glee, delight, joy, సంతోషము, మదము, ఉల్లాసము, వేడుక. Happiness, సుఖము. Brightness, cheerfulness, కాంతి, ప్రసన్నత. Abundance, సమృద్ధి. 'మనరథము పరపుమిప్పుడు సునిశితబాణములనతని పాంపణగింతున్.' M. VI. ii. 148. సొంపైన somp-aina. adj. Nice, elegant, pretty, trim. మనోజ్ఞము. సొంపారు, సొంపిలు, సొంపిల్లు or సొంపొందు somp-āru. v. n. To bloom, be lovely, pretty or pleasant. సొగసుగానుండు, ఉల్లాసము గానుండు.

(p. 1385) harṣamu harshamu. [Skt.] n. Gladness, joy, exultaion. సంతోషము. హర్షకుడు harshakuḍu. n. One who causes joy, one who gives pleasure, సంతోషింపజేయువాడు. హర్షణము harshaṇamu. n. Pleasure, joy, rejoicing. సంతోషించుట. హర్షణుడు harshaṇuḍu. n. One who rejoices or is glad, సంతోషించువాడు. హర్షమాణము harsha-māṇamu. adj. Pleased, happy, cheerful, glad, సంతోషించుచున్న. హర్షి harshi. n. One who is joyful or pleased, సంతోషముగలవాడు. హర్షించు harshinṭsu. v. n. To be glad, rejoice, be pleased with, సంతోషించు. ఆయన ఇంత పనికి హర్షించునా will he be pleased with this? హర్షితము harshitamu. adj. Delighted, glad, cheerful. సంతోషపెట్టబడిన.
