This is a term of affection, implying a blessing, often used to inferiors, children, younger brothers or other relations. చిరంజీవులైన మాసీతారామయ్య my brother Sītāräma; చిరంజీవులైన కొల్లా వెంకన్నభార్య గతించిన సంగతి regarding the death of our dear cousin's wife. చిరంతనము or చిరత్నము chirantanamu. adj. Old, ancient, antiquated. బహుదినములది, పాతది.
