(p. 37) aḍucu aḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To close, to shut. మూసివేయు. అందులో నాలుగు వాకిళ్లు అడిచియున్నవి four of the gates are closed, ఆ గుడ్లను ఈ పెట్టెలో అడుచు (here అడుచు is for అణచు) cram the clothes into the box. Also, v. a. To beat, strike, thrash. To destroy కొట్టు, వళింపచేయు. 'ఎమ్ములిరియుగ శిలతో నడిచిన.' P. i. 729. అడుచుకొను aḍuṭsukonu. v. To contract, choke, be stopped. ఆ కాలవలో ఇసుక అడుచుకొన్నది the channel is choked with sand. వాని రొమ్మడుచుకొన్నది he has a contraction of the chest. గొంతు అడుచుకొన్నది, మాట్లాడకూడలేదు his throat is hoarse, he cannot speak.

(p. 153) uḍḍukuḍucu uḍḍu-kuḍuṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To be out of breath, to be suffocated. To be at one's wits' end. ఊపిరి తిప్పుకొనలేక బాధపడు. స్నానమందు నీళ్లచలికి ప్రాణములు ఉడ్డుకుడిచినవి the coldness of the water took away my breath. పిల్ల పాలుడ్డుకుడిచినది the infant was choked with milk.

(p. 304) kūriñcu kūrinṭsu. [Tel. from కూరు.] v. n. To cause to cram, thrust or choke.

(p. 304) kūrukonu or కూరుకొనిపోవు kūru-konu. [Tel.] v. n. To enter. చొచ్చు. To sink, to be choked. To stuff. క్రుక్కు. ఇసుకలో నా కాలు కూరుకొనిపోయినది my foot sank in the sand. కాలువ యిసుకచేత కూరుకొనిపోయినది the channel is choked with sand.

(p. 322) korapōvu kora-pōvu. [Tel.] v. n. To be choked. పొరపోవు. To swoon. మూర్ఛిల్లు.

(p. 355) gadgaḍamu or గడ్గదస్వరము or గద్గదిక gadgadamu. [Skt.] n. A murmur, broken voice, fluttering accents: sobbing or faltering: a choked sound. డగ్గుత్తిక.
