(p. 55) anunayamu anu-nayamu. [Skt.] n. Conciliation, consoling, entreaty, begging. సాంత్వనము, ఓదార్చడము, అడుగుకోవడము, మంచిమాటలాడడము, ఊరట. అనునయించు anu-nayinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To conciliate, console; to entreat, beg. ఓదార్చు, అడుగుకొను, మంచిమాటలాడు.

The name of the wife of Manmadha, మన్మధునిభార్య. దేవునికి ప్రీతిగా చేసిరి they did it in honour of the god, for the purpose of conciliating the god. ముఖప్రీతిమాటలు feigned or flattering words. ఆచార్యులవారికి ప్రీతిగా ఈ గ్రామము నిచ్చినారు they bestowed this village on him as a compliment. తల్లికి ప్రీతిగా ఈ దానము చేసినాడు he gave this in honour of his mother. శనిప్రీతిచేసినాడు he did this to avert the evil influence of Saturn. విష్ణుప్రీతిభూమి lands consecrated to Vishṇu. ప్రీతిదత్తము prīti-dattamu. n. A dowry given to a bride by her father-in-law or mother-in-law. ప్రీతుడు prītuḍu. n. One who is pleased or satisfied, ప్రీతినొందినవాడు.

(p. 1023) meppu meppu. [Tel. from మెచ్చు.] n. Approbation, approval, commendation. శ్లాఘన. Love, ప్రీతి. A boon, వరము. మెప్పించు meppinṭsu. v. a. To gratify, persuade, talk over, conciliate. మెచ్చుకొనునట్టుచేయు. మెప్పించుకొను meppinṭsu-konu. v. a. To gain one's good word, acquire a good character. To hymn or celebrate. మెప్పు వచ్చునట్లుచేసికొను. దిమందిలో యోగ్యుడని మెప్పించుకొన్నాడు he obtained the applause of many.

(p. 1072) rājī rāji. [H.] n. Consent. Reconciliation, a settlement of a quarrel or dispute. ఇష్టము, సమ్మతి, సమాధానము. రాజీనామా resignation of an office. రాజీచేయు to satisfy, reconcile, appease. నాకు రాజీగానున్నది it is agreeable to me, I consent to it. రాజీనామా ఇచ్చు to resign as office.

To join, unite, చేర్చు. కూర్చు. సంధాని2ము sandh-ānitamu. adj. Joined, united, చేర్చబడిన, కూర్చబడిన. సంధాయకుడు or సంధాత sandhāyakuḍu. n. One who unites. సంధానముచేయువాడు.

(p. 1278) sandhi sandhi. [Skt.] n. Connection, union combination, junction, coalescence. కూడిక, చేరడము, కలియడము. A joint of the limbs, కీలు. Pacification, peacemaking, conciliation, peace, a treaty. అనుకూలము, సమాధానము. The coalescence of letters in accordance with the laws of euphony. అచ్సంధి the union of vowels. హల్సంధి the union of consonants. ఈయన వారికి సంధి చేసినాడు he made them friends. To cause to meet, to bring together, join, unite. కలుపు, చేర్చు, కూర్చు. సంధించు or సంధిల్లు. v. n. To be joined to or united with, కూడు. సంధితము sandhitamu. adj. Joined, united, connected, bound, చేర్చబడిన, కూర్చబడిన కట్టబడిన. సంధిత్స sandhitsa. n. The desire of joining, an inclination to unite. చేర్చవలెననేయిచ్ఛ. సంధిలు or సంధిల్లు sandhilu. v. n. To happen, occur; to meet. ప్రాప్తమగు, ఎదురుపడు, కలుగు, వచ్చు. 'భక్తిగౌరవము విశ్వాసంబు సంధిల్లగా.' T. ii. 55. 'అచలాత్మజమాటకు లేత నవ్వు సంధిల్ల.' Swa. pref. 2. సంధుడు or సంధురాలు sandhuḍu. n. One who is united with. These words are used in compounds; thus సత్యసంధుడు, సత్యసంధురాలు. a truthful or veracious man or woman.
