(p. 41) atuku atuku. [Tel.] n. Junction, union patch. ౛తపరిచినది. అతుకులబ్రతుకు living in another man's house. అతుకు v. n. To join. To agree with, to be fit. అంటుకొను అతుకు లేక అతికించు, v. t. To solder, cement, join, unite to. అంటించు, చేర్చు, జరపరచు. అతుకుబడి fixing; posting; the engagement to cultivate taken from the ryot at the commencement of the Revenue year; leasing. అతుకుబడిచేయు to rent out. అతుకుబాటు giving or letting out on rent.

(p. 51) anārambhamu an-ārambhamu. [Skt.] Absence of commencement. అనారంభ్యము not fit to be commenced.

(p. 222) kaṅkaṇamu kankaṇamu. [Skt.] n. A bracelet or anklet. ముత్యాలు మొదలైనవాని సరము. A consecrated thread bound on the wrist at the commencement of a marriage, &c: చేతికి కట్టుకొను తోపరము. The trellice or running flowered pattern cut in marble round the walls of a temple. కంకణము వంటి దూడ a thriving calf. బద్ధకంకణుడై bound to execute an act. ఆ పనికి కంకణము కట్టుకొన్నాడు he undertook that work or is wedded to it. ధర్మమునకు కంకణముకట్టుకొని యున్నాడు he is bent on doing justice. కంకణాలయూటె a spear girded with rings of silver or other metal. కంకణగ్రహణము kankaṇa-grahaṇamu. n. An annular eclipse.

(p. 471) jyēṣṭha jyēshṭha. [Skt.] n. The month Jyeshṭha, (June, July.) ఒక నెల. adj. Elder. జ్యేష్ఠసంతతి the eldest born. జ్యేష్ఠ n. Misfortune personified as a goddess జెష్ట. జ్యేష్ఠావధి A day in the month Jyēshṭha, on which ploughing time commences. జ్యేష్ఠుడు the eldest man మొదటివాడు. అగ్రజుడు.

To lose, let go. విడుచు. తరలకు ధైర్యంబు do not lose heart తరలకచూచు to view steadily, without intermission. 'ధనరాసి యిచ్చోట తరలకనిత్తు.' (HD. ii. 1492) I will give the money here without fail. తరలించు or తగ్గించు tara-linṭsu. v. t. To cause to move, or march. Vasu. iii. 165. Chenna iii. 143. తరలుచు or తరల్చు to set free విడిపించు.

(p. 516) talapaḍu talapaḍu. [Tel.] v. n. To commence, to begin. ప్రారంభించు. యుద్ధానికి తలపడినారు they commenced the flight. v. t. To oppose or attack ఎదిరించు. To meet తాకు. తలపాటు tala-pāṭu. n. Commencement, beginning ప్రారంభము. Opposition. ఎదిరించుట.

(p. 516) talapeṭṭu tala-peṭtu. [Tel.] v. a. To endeavour, take into one's head, to begin or commence. ప్రారంబించు. To think or talk of, ప్రస్తావించు.

(p. 625) dvajamu dhvajamu. [Skt.] n. A flag or banner. టెక్కెము. A flagstaff. టెక్కేపు కంబము. A mark, a sign or symbol. గురుతు. The male organ of generation. లింగము, మగగురి. బర్హధ్వజి she whose sign is the peacock, i.e., Pārvati. ధ్వజస్థంభము a pillar or mast erected before a temple, having a vertical wooden frame of bars at the top to represent a flag. ధ్వజారోహణము a certain rite at the commencement of a festival when the flag is hoisted. ధ్వజిని dhvajini. n. An army. సేన.

(p. 640) nāndi nāndi. [Skt.] n. A preliminary. The exordium, prelude, prologue dedication, or praise of a deity, recited in benedictory verses at the commencement of a religious ceremony or poem. నాందీ యాగము the opening rite. Anand. vi. 1.
