(p. 178) ṛṇamu ṛiṇamu. [Skt.] n. Debt, obligation. A claim, a title or lien. ఇంతకున్ను ఇక్కడి నీళ్ల ఋణము ఎన్ని రోజులు ప్రాప్తి ఉన్నదో besides I know not how much longer it is my fate to dwell here. ఋణపడు ṛiṇa-paḍu. v. n. To get into debt. ఋణముచేయు ṛiṇamu-chēyu. v. a. To contract a debt, to borrow. ఋణముతీర్చు ṛiṇamu-tīrṭsu. To discharge a debt. ఋణత్రయము the three kinds of obligation, viz., దేవఋణము, ఋషిఋణము and పితృఋణము. ఋణవిముక్తుడు ṛiṇa-vimuktuḍu. n. One who is free from debt. ఋణస్థుడు. or ఋణి or ఋణికుడు ṛiṇasthuḍu. n. To contract, shrivel, crack, open, split. జ్వరముతీసినది the fever went down. వెన్నుతీయు to come forth, or be produced (as a sprout,) to bud. కాళ్లు తీయుచున్నవి my legs throb or ache. ఏరు తీసిపోయినది the river has gone down. వెనక తీయు to fail, retire, withdraw, retreat, hesitate, or flinch. నాలుకతీసినది my tongue is dry, I am thirsty. వాని ఒళ్లు మిక్కిలి తీసిపోయినది he is greatly fallen away in flesh. నీళ్లు తీసిపోవు to dry up, sink, diminish, be exhausted. బలమంతా తీసిపోయినది my strength has gone. పాతర తీసియున్నది the granary was opened. తీయక unintermittingly, without intermission. వెనకతీయక without hesitation. తియ్యకుండా unfailingly, uninterruptedly, without intermission. తీయని incessant, unceasing. తీయించు tīyinṭsu. v. a. To cause to remove, get removed. తీసివేయు tīsi-vēyu. v. t. To take away. To dismiss. To sever ఖండించు. తీసివేతకాకితాలు tīsi-vēta-kāki-talu. n. (p. 535) tīru tīru. [Tel.] v. n. To end, stop, cease, elapse. To be finished, ended, complete, or ready. To be paid, delivered, discharged, avenged. To be qualified, accomplished, finished, adorned, trim, decked. To be gratified, satiated, wreaked (as passion;) to be assuaged or allayed, to go off. ముగియు, చిక్కబడు. తనివితీర to the full; so as to satisfy one's desires. తీరలేదు it came to nothing, it was ineffectual. కోరికతీసి having gained his end. ఇది నాచేత తీరదు this is out of my power. నాకు తీరీతీరక ఉన్నది I am hardly at leisure. తీరిపోవు to die. (p. 837) prayōgamu pra-yōgamu. [Skt.] n. An application, use or employment, as of a weapon, tool, word, or a spell. Administration of a medicine, నడుపుట. A usage. In grammar, a voice. కర్తృ కర్మ క్రియల కూడిక. మహాబిల్వాదిప్రయోగము a prescription of Bilwa and other drugs. దీనికి కాళిదాస ప్రయోగమున్ణది Kalidasa has used this word. యక్షీణీప్రయోగముచేయు to bewitch or send a devil into (a person.) ఈ ఔషధప్రయోగముచేసినాడు he administered this medicine. విషప్రయోగముచేసి చంపినాడు he killed him by means of poison. బాణప్రయోగముచేసినాడు he used an arrow, i.e., discharged it. ప్రయోగించు pra-yōginṭsu. v. a. To use, practise, administer; use, as a weapon. ఉపయోగించు. ప్రయోజకుడు pra-yōjakuḍu. n. One who uses. The original instigator of any act. A clever man, a genius. కార్యమును నెరవేర్చువాడు. వాడు శుద్ధ అప్రయోజకుడు he is quite a useless person. ప్రయోజనము pra-yōjanamu. n. Use, advantage, profit. A thing to be kept or observed, as a holy day, or a feast పండుగ. An affair, business. కార్యము. A cause, motive. హేతువు. శుభప్రయోజనము a happy occasion (as a wedding.) రేపు మాయింట్లో కొంచెము ప్రయోజనము గనుక రావడానికి వల్లలేదు I cannot come to-morrow as there are some rites to be observed at home. అక్కడికి నీవుపోయినందుకు ఏమి ప్రయోజనము what is the use (good, or advantage) of your going there? ప్రయోజనప్రస్తుతములకు వారిని మేముపిలువడములేదు we do not invite them to parties. In Grammar, ప్రయోజ్యకర్త the indirect agent (in the instrumental case.) ప్రయోజకకర్త the direct agent (in the nominative case.)
