Junior, Younger, smaller. చిన్నచూపు humiliation, scorn. దేవుడు చిన్నచూపుచూస్తే యెవరేమి చేయవచ్చును when God withdraws his favour what can man do? చిన్న ఆకురాయి chinna-ākurāyi. n. The Blackheaded Cuckoo-Shrike, Campophaga sykesi. (F.B.I.) చిన్నకారు chinna-kāru. n. Childhood, youth. చిన్నకారుపిల్లలు young children. చిన్నతనము chinna-tanamu. n. Infancy: littleness, smallness. Disgrace, dishonor. ఇందువల్ల కులమునకంతా చిన్నతనము వచ్చినది this is a disgrace to the whole caste. చిన్నది chinnadi. n. A little one. A girl, a lass. ఈ చిన్నది అతనిభార్య this girl is his wife. పెద్ద చిన్నది the eldest daughter; or, a grown girl.

(p. 531) tirugu tirugu. [Tel.] v. n. To turn, rove, roam, travel. సంచరించు To be giddy. పరిభ్రమించు. To go back. వెనుకకుమరలు. To come again. మరలవచ్చు. To cease, go off, as, disease, be revoked, as an order. To fail, miss, be fruitless, to break one's faith. అతడు ఈ పనిలో తిరిగినాడు he was engaged in this business. వానికి ఒళ్లు తిరిగినది he felt giddy, he was sick, or vomited. మధ్యతిరుగు to intercede, act between others, be an agent. వానికి నోరు బాగా తిరగదు he does not pronounce well. ఆ మాట నా నోట్లో తిరగదు. The point on which an affair turns. తిరుగుడుబండి a return cart. లెక్కలో తిరుగుడు వచ్చినది or తిరుగుళ్లుపడినవి there is a difficulty, a question, a point to be cleared. తిరుగుడుచీల or తిరుగుడునొక్కు a screw, మర. తిరుగుడు పువ్వు tiruguḍu-puvvu. n. The turning flower, i.e., the sun flower. A sort of gold jewel worn by women. తిరుగుడుత్రాడు a noose, ఉరి, ఉచ్చు. తిరుగుదల tirugudala. n. Any injurious substance as a thief in a candle or a hand core in the heart of a palmyra or plantain shoot. adj. False, delusive, sly, feigned, pretended, hypocritical, dishonest, dishonourable, mischievous, stolen, wicked, sinful. దొంగనేల land unjustly got, మోసముచేసి అపహరించిన నేల. దొంగ యిసుక a quicksand, క్రిందినీళ్లు తెలియకుండ మీదనుండు ఇసుక. దొంగనిద్ర feigned sleep. దొంగసొమ్ములు stolen goods, దొంగిలించిన సొమ్ము. దొంగికూడు food obtained fraudulently, ఇతరులెరుగకుండ మోసముచేసి తిను కూడు. దొంగగొడ్డు a curst cow, a beast, that strays into other's fields to graze there, దొంగమేత మేయుపశువు. దొంగబీగము a false key, మారుబీగము. దొంగరేయి that part of the midnight which is most favourable for robbers to go about. దొంగ భక్తి hypocrisy. దొంగమాట a deceitful word. a lie. 'దొంగవాకిట మంచమువేసినరీతిగా' a proverb implying 'make friends for the purpose of runing one.' దొంగతనము, దొంగపని or దొంగరికము donga-tanamu. n. Theft, robbery, roguery, cunning, craft, a trick, a fraud. దొంగతనంబు లీవగలు this is mere pretence. దొంగతనముగా donga-tanamu-gā. adv. Secretly, by stealth, unawares. దొంగిలించు or దొంగిలు dongilinṭsu. v. a. To steal. అపహరించు.

(p. 648) ninda ninda. [Skt.] n. Blame, censure, reproach, dishonour. అపవాదము, దూరు. అపదూరు. నిందాస్తుతి nindā-stuti. n. A sneer: ironical praise: irony. నిందాస్పదము nind-āspadamu. adj. A sin, a crime. పంచమహాపాతకములు the five great sins, viz, killing a Brahmin (బ్రహ్మ హత్య), stealing gold (స్వర్ణస్తేయము,) drinking intoxicating liquor (సురాపానము) dishonoring a teacher's wife (గురుపత్నీగమనము) and association with such as are guilty of any of these sins (ఇవి చేయువారి తోడి సహవాసము) పాతకి or పాతకుడు pātaki. n.
