(p. 137) inumaḍi inu-maḍi. [Tel. ఇను+మడుగు] adj. Double, twofold. రెట్టి, ద్విగుణము. ఇనుమడించు inumaḍinṭsu [Tel.] v. a. To double or redouble. రెట్టించు.

(p. 179) e e. As a prefix the long ē is contracted into the short e, while the next consonant is doubled; thus ఏ what, and కడ place, becomes ఎక్కడ.

(p. 193) ē ē. An affix denoting emphasis: thus, నేనే I myself. వాడే that very man. మేమే we ourselves. This is sometimes doubled. Thus అతడేనే he himself.

(p. 284) kirusu or కిరుసుకత్తి kirusu. [Tel.] n. A small double edged sword. రెండందులుగల చిన్నకత్తి.

(p. 300) kuvāḍamu , కువ్వాడము or కువాళము kuvāḍamu. [Tel.] n. A cloth cover over a carriage. బురకా. Hypocrisy, double dealing కపటము, 'నీకు వాడమ్ములన్నియు దెలుసు మాకు.' HD. 1902.

(p. 336) kro kro. [Tel.] adj. The word క్రొత్త is contracted into క్రొత్త in compounds in the following hard or soft consonants in Telugu words are doubled as క్రొక్కన్ను (క్రొత్త+కన్ను), క్రొక్కారు (క్రొత్త+కారు), క్రొత్తావి (క్రొత్త+తావి) , క్రొన్నన (క్రొత్త+నన), క్రొన్నలుపు, క్రొన్నురుగు, క్రొన్నెత్తురు, క్రొన్నల, క్రొమ్ముడి, క్రొమ్మెరుగు. క్రొమ్మొన, క్రొవ్వాడి, క్రొవ్విరి. &c. In some cases, this change is made even when a Skt. word follows, as క్రొమ్మేఘములు (భీ. iii.) In some cases, again, when a hard consonant follows, క్రొత్త is contracted into క్రొం where the సున్న stands for the letter ను but the succeding consonant is not doubled but changed into a soft one, as క్రొం౛ాయ, క్రొంజెమట, క్రొందమ్మి, క్రొంబసిడి, క్రొంబొగ, &c.

(p. 366) giṇṭemu gin-ṭemu. [Tel.] n. Weaving with a double thread. Cloth woven with a double thread. గింటెపు thick. 'హొంబట్టుజిలుగుగింటెంబుతోడ.' Swa. vi. 107.

(p. 380) gurukonu guru-konu. [Tel.] v. n. To attempt. యత్నించు. ఉద్యోగించు. To redouble, as a storm. కమ్ముకొను. 'క గురుకొని కార్యాకార్యము, లెరుగక దుశ్చరితుడై యహితుడగుసేనిన్ , మరవకగరువైనను జను, లెరుగగశాసించునది మహీశుడుబుద్ధిన్.' M. I. vi. 105.

(p. 456) chalamu , ఛలార్థము or ఛలోక్తి chhalamu. [Skt.] n. A trick, a stratagem: an innuendo or covert meaning. A double entendre నెపము, వెనుదీయుట, ఒక అభిప్రాయముతో చెప్పిన పదమునకు మరొక అభిప్రాయము చేసుకొని ఉత్తరము చెప్పుట.

(p. 490) ṭhavaṇiñcu or ఠవణిల్లు ṭhavaṇinṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To be ఉండు. To redouble, as sound or brilliancy. ప్రకటించు, అమరు, అడరు, ఒప్పు.

(p. 518) talli talli. [Tel. తాయి+లు. The final ల్లి is the sign of the honorific plural and is doubled on account of the preceding long vowel having been shortened. √ త = she who brings (into existence) or who brings food, &c., cf. తండ్రి.] n. A mother. కన్నతల్లి one's own mother, as opposed to సవతితల్లి a stepmother. In affectionate address తల్లీ 'my dear,' is used even to a daughter. adj. Maternal, parent. తల్లిపశువు the parent cow. తల్లియింటనున్నది she lives in her mother's home. Principal, great, chief, main. తల్లినర or తల్లియొర the parapet wall round a well. తల్లికాలవ the principal channel which supplies others. తల్లిగోడ the principal wall in a house. మీరే మాకు తల్లిదండ్రులు you are my father and mother, you are all in all to me. See under తలి. తల్లికొండ్ర talli-konḍra. The first furrow in ploughing మొదటి కొండ్ర. తల్లితల్లి talli-talli. n. A mother's mother, i.e., Lakshmi. తల్లినికనినతల్లి. A grandmother. తల్లివేరు talli-rēru. n. The fap root or principal parent root. ముఖ్యమైనవేరు.

(p. 601) duga duga. [Tel.] n. A deuce at games, or in dice. రెండు, ద్వయము. దుగదచ్చి deuce eight. దుగరవిక duga-ravika. n. A double bodice, a lined jacket, జంటరవిక. దుగమొగములపులుగు a fabulous double-faced bird called గండభేరుండపక్షి. అచ్చ. అ. కాం. దుగుణము du-guṇamu. n. Same as దుగ. ఉ. హరి. iii. adj.
