(p. 49) anantamu an-antamu: [Skt.] adj. Endless, eternal అంతములేని. అనంతము n. The sky. ఆకాశము. అనంతత endlessness; infinitude. అనంతరాశి ananta-rāṣi. [Skt.] An infinite quantity. అనంతవిజయము n. The name of the conch or shell of Dharmaraja. అనంతవ్రతము ananta-vratamu. [Skt.] A vow or festival observed in honor of Ananta. (Vishnu.) అనంతశక్తి anantaṣakti. [Skt.] n. Omnipotence, boundless strength or power. అనంతుడు an-antuḍu. [Skt.] n. The infinite being, an epithet of Vishnu. A name of the great dragon, the king of serpents విష్ణువు, ఆదిశేషుడు అనంతశయనుడు ananta-ṣayanuḍu. [Skt.] n. An epithet of Vishnu, (lit.) the god whose couch is the king of serpents. విష్ణువు. అనంత్యము an-antyamu. [Skt.] adv. Eternally for ever and ever.

(p. 102) asahāyata a-sahāyata. [Skt.] n. Loneliness, solitude, the life of a hermit. ఒంటి, అసహాయశూరుడు a-sahāyaṣūruḍu. n. He who fights single-handed. అసహాయుడు a-sahāyuḍu. n. He who is friendless, he who is single-handed. ఒంటిగాడు, రెండోమనిషి సహాయము లేనివాడు.

(p. 198) ēdu ēdu. [Tel.] v. n. To go, depart, cease, perish; be lost, leave, abandon. విడుచు, నశించు. దిక్కేదిన friendless, helpless. భయమేదిన fearless. చెలువేది having lost its bloom. సంశయమేది not entertaining a doubt. సందేహము మాని.

(p. 498) taṇḍasamu tanḍasamu. [Tel.] n. Tweezers for pulling out hairs. మంగలవాడు వెంట్రుకలుతీసే పనిముట్టు. ఎలుగుబంటికి తంటసపుపని a task as endless as pulling out a bear's hairs. A forge కమ్మరకొలిమి.

(p. 657) nir nir. A Sanskrit particle prefixed in words of that language and implying negation, privation, &c. This prefix varies in accordance with the rules of Sanskrit sandhi. In some cases it becomes నిష్ as నిష్ఫలమైన fruitless. When attached to a word which begins with S, it becomes నిస్, as నిస్సందేహముగా doubtlessly. When it is followed by a vowel, it remains unaltered as నిరాటంకముగా unchecked. The compounds in which this prefix is used are here put together. నిరంకుశము nir-ankuṣamu. adj. A squabble, wrangle, plague, scrape. పీకులాట, రచ్చ, కలకలము, పోరు ఏవేళ యిదేవానిరంపు this is his constant theme. ఏవేళను దీనిరంపేరంపు she has an endless tongue, she is a constant plague. రంపిల్లు or రంపిలు rampillu. v. n.
