Red, scarlet, crimson. ఎర్రనివాండ్రు people of fair complexion. కన్నులెర్రచేసి పలికినాడు he spoke with eyes inflamed with fury. ఎర్రనియేగాని నావద్ద లేదు I have not even a copper with me. ఎర్రకాళ్లజిట్ట erra-kaḷḷajiṭṭa. n. A small bird, Pyctorhis sinesis, the Yellow-eyed babbler (F.B.I.) ఎర్రకాళ్ల కొంగ erra-kāḷḷa-konga. n. The painted stork or pelican, ibis, Pseudotontalus leucocephalus (F.B.I.) ఎర్రకోడి erra-kōḍi. [Tel.] n. A large red spider. ఎర్రచీమ erra-chīma. A red ant. ఎర్ర చేమంతి erra-chēmanti. Red chrysanthymum. ఎర్రన errana. n. Redness ఎరుపు. ఎర్రపోతమ్మ erra-pōtamma. n. The name of one of the village goddesses, supposed to cure diseases among cattle. ఎర్రబారు or ఎర్రవాడు erra-bāru. v. i. To become red. ఎర్రనగు. ఎర్రమన్ను erra-mannu. n. Red earth. ఎర్రమంటి గువ్వ erra-maṇṭi-guvva. n. The rufous-tailed finch lark. Ammomanes phoenicura (F.B.I.) ఎర్రమల్లె erra-malle. Red jasmine. ఎర్రమీను erra-mīnu. Red fish. ఎర్రవేలుపు erra-vēlupu. (p. 358) garikonu gari-konu. [Tel.] n. To become sharp: to stiffen. గరిగట్టు gari-gaṭṭu. v. n. To be manifest, to be before the eyes. మూర్తీకరించు. 'కరషద్మసంగత ఘనలింగకళయు, గరి గట్టితమలోన గనవచ్చెననగ.' (p. 407) cāñcalyamu chānchalyamu. [from Skt. చంచలము.] n. Agitation, instability, mutability. చపలత్వము. కాలచాంచల్యమువల్ల by the lapse of time: as the world is so transitory, or fleeting. చిత్తచాంచల్యము aberration of the intellect.

(p. 410) cikatāli chikatāli. [Tel.] n. A plant called Enonymus Ventilago (yerra chiktāli) Roxb. i. 629.

(p. 414) cittamu chittamu. [Skt.] n. The mind or intellect; the heart, considered as the seat of intellect: inclination, will, pleasure. మీచిత్తము (or simply చిత్తము) your pleasure! as you please! yes, sir! చిత్తానకు తేవలెను be so good as to consider this. ప్రవేశము చిత్తగించలవెను pray acknowledge the receipt of this letter. చిత్తానుసారముగా according to one's own pleasure or as one see fit. చిత్తగించు chitta-ginṭsu. v. a. To listen, grant attention keep or retain in mind, attend to, mind, note, observe, remark, examine, investigate. మనస్కరించు. To think, తలచు; to hear a prayer, to consider యోచించు. At the close of a letter the words చిత్తగించవలెను. 'Please to consider this' are equivalent to the phrase ('I remain, &c') అట్లు చిత్తగించినాడు he came to this decision (used of a superior.) చిత్తగించవలెను I beg you to or, do me the favor to. చిత్తచాంచల్యము chitta-chānchalyamu. n. Aberration of the intellect. Insanity. చిత్తచాంచల్యము chitta-vṛitti. n. Temper, wish, inclination, disposition. Will, pleasure, determination. చిత్రుడు and చిత్తురాలు chittuḍu. adj. Minded. This is used in compound phrases, thus: సంతోషచిత్తుడు a cheerful man. క్రూరచిత్తులై cruel-hearted. శాంతచిత్తుడు a gentle character.

(p. 493) ḍābā ḍābā. [Tel.] n. The cornice of a pillar, the projecting gallery round the top of a tower; the crest of a bastion. బోడిమిద్దె, ఉన్నతముగాకట్టబడ్డ గృహవిశేషము. A terraced roof, opposed to a pent roof.
