(p. 159) uddhariñcu ud-dharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To raise, lift, set up, support, up-hold, re-establish, restore, rescue, deliver, preserve, protect. పైకెత్తు, కాపాడు. వేదములనుద్ధరించు to restore the Vedas. సంసారమునుద్ధరించు to support the family. 'నగరగలిసిన గ్రామము నుద్ధరించినాడు' he saved the village which had been sequestrated.

(p. 159) uddhāraṇamu or ఉద్ధారణ or ఉద్ధారము ud-dhāraṇamu. [Skt.] n. Lifting up. Protection. Sustaining. Rescuing, delivering, releasing, restoring. మతోద్ధారణచేయు to re-establish a religion. ఉద్ధారాంశము a share granted to the man who re-established something that has fallen into decay. పోయినదానిని మళ్లీ సాధించినవానికిచ్చే విశేష భాగము. ఉద్ధారము చేయు to sustain: support. ఉద్ధారకుడు ud-dhārakuḍu. n. He who sustains or nourishes, a saviour, a redeemer రక్షకుడు.

To regulate, order, ordain, trim, establish, ratify. దిట్టము diṭṭamu. n. Firmness, stoutness, tenacity, tightness, good order. దృఢత్వము. A statute or order, నిర్ణయము. దిట్టముచేయు to arrange, settle. అతడు అరవకుండా దిట్టముచేసినారు they took precautions against his crying out. A scheme; a statement showing what land each man cultivates and the respective assessment. దిట్టము adj. Settled, arranged. Firm, stout, tenacious, solid, tight, orderly. దిట్టము an affix. About. అరదిట్టము about half. ముక్కాలు దిట్టము about three quarters.

(p. 625) dhadhruvamu dhruvamu. [Skt.] n. Permanency, stability: certanity. నిశ్చయము. The truth: sure knowledge. adj. To make one enjoy or suffer. పాటుపడజేయు, విస్తరింపజేయు, చేయు, పోవు, పరుగెత్తు. పరుగెత్తిమచు. ప్రవహించు, గడుచు, అనుభవింపజేయు 'కొట్టితేని యముడు గొట్టుపరుచు.' Vēma. 1341. 'వినతకు మ్రొక్కి వీడ్కొని గరుడుండు నతిత్వరీతగతింబరచి.' M. I. ii. 68. 'నీపేరెరిగియును దుపనొల్లక పరుతురధోగతుల౛ాడ పద్మదళాక్ష.' B. X. 93. 'చెట్టొకడుగాగ బరచిరి చెంచులుపుడు.' Swa. iv. 143. 'నిండిపరచుదరచు సెలయేరుల.' Swa. iv. 91. It is used with nouns, adjectives, verbs, and postpositions to form verbs with a causal signification. ఆటంకపరచు to prevent. భేదపరుచు to distinguish, to effect a distinction. to separate. సమ్మతిపరుచు to persuade, to convince or to make one agree. దృఢపరుచు to make firm to establish. తెలియబరుచు to make known. తేటబరుచు to make clear. లోబరుచుకొను to subdue, to bring under one's control. దిట్టపరుచు to prepare, to make ready. వారిని లోబరుచుకొన్నాడు he has got them into his hands. దాన్ని ఫలపరిచినాడు he brought it into use. పరత, పరతి or పరద parata. n. A stream, current, ప్రవాహము, వరద. వరతెంచు para-tenṭsu. [పరచు+తెంచు.] v. n. To come running. పారివచ్చు.

(p. 720) parucu puruṭsu. [Tel. from పడు.] v. a. To cause to fall. పడజేయు. To spread, to scatter. To make, do. ఆటంకపరుచు to make objections. సఫలపరుచు to bring to use, to effect. వారిని లోబరుచుకొన్నాడు he got them into his hands. Added to nouns it changes them into verbs; thus నిశ్చయపరుచు to ascertain, to certify. దృఢపరుచు to establish. భేదపరుచు to distinguish, separate. See పడు & పరచు పరిపించు or పరపించు parip-inṭsu. v. a. (p. 738) pādu or పాది pādu. [Tel.] n. A garden bed or plot smaller than a మడి. Also, the watered earth round a tree. The area or areola round the nipple or round a sore. (p. 801) pondu or ఒందు pondu. [Tel.] v. n. To wink, (కన్ను) వాలు. To gain, obtain, get, acquire. To reach, attain to. To have, enjoy. To suffer, experience, meet with joy, grief or death, &c. ప్రాపించు. వానిని లక్ష్మిపొందినది good luck has be fallen him. అవమానమును పొందినాడు he incurred disgrace. సంతోషమును పొందినాడు he was pleased. నష్టమును పొందినాడు he incurred loss. విఘ్నమొందక meeting with no obstacle or cheek. నరకమును పొందినాడు he fell into hell. కన్నుపొందు to sleep. 'ఆ కడుపు నిండగుడువ గానమిరేయెల్ల, గన్నుపొందకున్న కరముడస్సి, యున్నవాడనాకు.' M. I. vi. 322. కన్నుపొందకున్న, అనగా నిద్రలేకుండా ఉండడముచేత. Also, to have intercourse with. కలయు. n. To be fixed or established, నెలకొను. పొందుపడు pondu-paḍu. v. n. To be agreeable or fit, సరిపడు, అనుకూలించు. పొందుపాటు ponda-pāṭu. n. Convenience, suitability, aid, help. వానికి ఆ రూకలు పొందుపాటు కాలేదు he could not get the money. పొందుపాటుచేయు to arrange, అనుకూలముచేయు. పొందించు pondinṭsu. To cause to obtain, get, or experience. నన్ను ఈ శ్రమ పొందించినారు they caused me this trouble. 'మగువత నంబునజగముల తగులము బొందింప గొంతదడవెముకుందా.' B. viii. 446. పొందిక pondika. n., Fitness, agreement, aptness. ఇమిడిక. Intercourse, సహవాసము, కలయిక. 'సీతాకాంతముని స్త్రీల పొందిక లుమరగి.' R. v. 59.
