(p. 220) ōsaru or ఓసరిల్లు ōsaru. [Tel.] v. t. To step aside, to get out of the way, to evade. తొలగు. To be tired అలయు. 'తిరిగితిరిగి వేసరియో సరిలిన దాసరిగింపు.' A. iv. 52. ఓసరించు ōsarinṭsu. v. n. &t. To turn aside, remove, put aside. To fail, to push aside, move aside తప్పించు, ఓసరిలనుంచు ōsarila-n-unṭsu. v. t. To lay aside ఒక పక్కగానుంచు. ఓసరింత ōsarinta. n. Moving aside ఓసరిల్లుట.

(p. 243) kannu or కను kannu. [Tel.] n. The eye. నేత్రము. Sight చూపు. An orifice, small hole or hollow రంధ్రము. The black mark in the middle of the parchment or of a drum. మద్దెల మొదలగువానిలోనుండు గుండ్రని నల్లగురుతు. A trace ౛ాడ. The bush for box in a carriage wheel బండికన్ను. An arch or a span in a bridge వంతెనద్వారము. The eye-like spot in a peacock's train నెమలిపురికన్ను. The mesh of a net వలలోని రంధ్రము. The eye or joint or knot in a cane or reed వెదురులో నగువాగనువు కిందిగుంట. దాపలికన్ను the small end of the drum. కన్నువిచ్చు to open the eye. The abl. is కంట thus కంటబడు to fall into the eye, to be in view. వానికి కండ్లు అగుపడవు he cannot see కన్నుకనబడనివాడు a blind man. కండ్లు తిరిగినవి I turned giddy. పెద్దకండ్లుచేయు to look angry. కన్నులెర్ర చేసికొను to make one's eyes inflamed with wrath. కన్నుగట్టు kannu-gaṭṭu. n. Fascination, deluding. కన్నుకట్టుట to delude, or blind the eyes. కన్నుకట్టువిద్య magic,legerdemain. The art of being invisible. కన్నుగవ or కన్నుదోయి A pair of eyes. కన్నునీరు or కన్నీరు tears. కన్నుబ్రాము (R. 1. 107.) To evade, delude. కన్నుమూసినగంత a blindman's buff. కన్నుమొరగు as though blind. కన్నుమెరగు or కనుమొరగు to delude వంచించు. కన్నులారచూచు to see with one's own eyes, view distinctly. కన్నువేయు to cast an eye on, to long for ఆశించు, కన్నులమ్రాను the sugar cane చెరకు. కన్నులవిలుకాడు Cupid మన్మథుడు .

(p. 352) gaḍi gaḍi. [Tel.] n. A limit, a boundary. ఎల్ల. గడికొల్లలు plundering on the borders. గడినేలలు boundary lands. గడిమెకము a cunning animal which evades the hunter వేటకుచిక్కని మృగము. గడితేరు to be expert, నిపుణుడగు, కడలేరు. plu. గళ్లు. గళ్లుచేయు to mark the boundaries. గడి gaḍi. n. Strength, a stronghold, fortalice or petty fort బలము. కోట, దుర్గము. గడి adj. Big, stout. గడిగుండు a big stone. గడితాడు a stout rope. A tether, a couple for two cattle. గడికాళ్లువేయు to tie up the legs of two animals together with a rope. రెండు పశువులకు ఒక్కొక్క కాలుచేర్చి లంకెవేయు. గడిదొంగ a great clever thief. గడికరణము the principal writer. గడిపోతు a bull ఆబోతు; a great scoundrel, చెడ్డగొడ్డు.

(p. 456) chapāyiñcu cḥapā-y-inṭsu. [Tel.] v. t. To evade, defraud, conceal.

(p. 601) duddu duddu. [Tel.] n. The pericarp or centre bulb of a lotus: తామర పువ్వులోని దిమ్మె, కర్ణిక. A mark on a letter written on a palm leaf, తాటాకుజాబుమీది చంద్రిక. A sort of ear ornament worn by women. ఒక విధమైన చెవికమ్మ. adj. Coarse, not fine. False, అసత్యము. దుద్దుపెట్టు to evade, elude. దుద్దెక్కు duddekku. v. n. To excel. అతిశయించు. BD. i. 910. ఇట్లు చేయడానకు వానికేమి దుద్దుపట్టినది (అనగా దురద) what could bewitch him to do this? దుద్దుకంబళి or దుద్దుగొంగళి duddu-kambaḷi. n. A sort of woollen cloth.

(p. 774) pulumu or పులుముకొను pulumu. [Tel.] v. n. and a. To scour or rub, in washing or bathing. రుద్దు, నలుపు. To beat, కొట్టు. కండ్లుపులుముకొనుచు లేచినాడు he waked up rubbing his eyes. తలపులుముకొను to rub the head in bathing. గుడ్డలువులుముకొను to wash clothes. వాణ్ని బాగా పులిమినారు they thrashed him well. పులుముడు palumuḍu. n. Rubbing, రుద్దడము. పులిమిపుచ్చు pulimi-puṭsṭsu. v. a. To evade, అడిగినదానికి ఉత్తరము చెప్పకుండా మాయచేయు. 'నందుడదేమన్న నవ్వుచు మీకేలపొమ్మంచునొకవేళ పులిమిపుచ్చు.' N. ix. 344.

(p. 954) mabbu mabbu. [Tel.] n. A cloud, మేఘము. Obscurity, darkness, dimness, laziness, dullness, heaviness, మాంద్యము, చీకటి. కనుమబ్బు dimness of sight. వాని చెవులకు మబ్బువచ్చెను his ears are dull of hearing. నిద్రమబ్బు drowsiness or heaviness. ఆ సంగతికి మబ్బు తాళము వేసినాడు he eluded or evaded the question. మబ్బుమందారముగానుండే దినాలు cloudy days. మబ్బురంగు a dark tint in colour, మేఘవర్ణము. మబ్బు కొను mabbu-konu. v. n. To become cloudy. To be intoxicated, మత్తిల్లు. మబ్బుత్రోవ mabbu-trōva. n. The sky, ఆకాశము. మబ్బుపెట్టు mabbu-peṭṭu. v. a. To delude, to evade, conceal. మబ్బుమేపరి mabbu-mēp-ari. n. The wind, వాయువు. మబ్బురవుతు mabbu-ravutu. n. An epithet of Indra. ఇంద్రుడు.

(p. 956) maralu or మళ్లు maralu. [Tel.] v. n. To turn, return, go back. తిరుగు. వెనుకకు తిరిగు. To be rescinded, abrogated, annulled. 'సముద్రంబు ప్రవేశించినయేరుల చందంబున మరల నెరుంగక.' Vish. ii. 272. మరలబడు or మరలంబడు marala-baḍu. v. n. To return, మరలు, తిరుగు. To rebel. తిరుగబడు. వానినాలుక మరలబడియున్ణది his tongue is tied. 'వారల, మతమయనుష్ఠించుగాక మరలంబడునే.' M. V. i. 308. మరలబాటు marala-bāṭu. n. The act of turning back, మరలబడుట. మరలుకొను marala-konu. v. n. To turn, మరలుచు, మరల్చు, మరలించు, మర్లించు or మళ్లించు maraluṭsu. v. a. To turn back, to cause to return, to recall, to rescind, abrogate, annul. To ward off, elude, evade. 'భక్తవత్సలుండు, గోపాలబాలకుల మరలించి మరియు పెక్కు విధంబుల జరియింపుచుండె.' N. ix. 254. మరలుపు or మరల్పు maralupu. n. Changing, turning, మరల్చుట, మళ్లించుకొనడము. 'మక్కమరల్పునేర్పులు.' T. iii. 124.
