A fœtus కడుపులోని పిండము. నదీగర్భము the middle of a river. గర్భగృహము the nave, sanctuary, or shrine of a temple. గర్భముతోనున్న pregnant. గర్భముధరించు to conceive or become pregnant. ఆమె గర్భము కరిగిపోయింది she miscarried. ఆమెకు గర్భము నిలిచినది she has not miscarried. గర్భకలమము a swelling ear of corn. వరి పొట్టకరుకు. The oblations that are made to deceased ancestors. పితృదేవతలకిచ్చు అన్నపుముద్ద. ఈ గండము గడిచి పిండము బయటపడితే చూతము when the fray is over we shall see what happens. నాడు ఉత్పాతపిండము he is a perfect hero. నాకు పిండానికి లేక చస్తున్నాను I am dying for a bit of bread. పిండముపెట్టు to offer balls of rice to the manes of ancestors. Vēma. iii. 192. పిండలి or పిండలివండ pinḍali. (from పిండము.) n. A lump or mass. ముద్ద, గడ్డ. పిండలి పండు or పిండిలిపండు mud and slush. గడ్డలను నీళ్లును, గడ్డలుకట్టినబురద. 'తురగభురోగ్ధూత ధూళితో బెరసిన, వననిధిపిండలి పండుగాగ.' M. IV. iii. 150. పిండాకూడు or పిండాకుడు pinḍā-kūḍu. n. A contemptuous word for food.

Hot, వేడి. వడకొట్టి చచ్చిపోయినాడు or వడతగిలి చచ్చిపోయినాడు he died of sunstroke. 'నిప్పులవసంతములాడు నెండలవడజల్లుపడమటి వాయువులును.' P. i. 304. వడగల్లు vaḍa-gallu. n. A hailstone. 'రాలెనొయ్యనవడగండ్లు పాలపండ్లు.' A. iv. 118. పడగవ్వ vaḍa-gavva. n. The name of a certain fish, a species of Scomber. Russell, plate 139. వడగాలి or వడగాడ్పు vaḍi-gāli. n. The hot or land wind. నిప్పుగాలి. వడగొను vaḍa-gonu. v. n. To feel hot, తాపమునుపొందు. వడపప్పు vaḍa-pappu. n. A dish of green gram, split and soaked in water, with salt, pepper, assafœtida, &c. బడలికతీరుటకు నానవేసి కొంచెము ఉప్పు ఉంగువకలిపిన పెసరపప్పు. వడపిందె vaḍa-pinde.- n. A tender fruit that falls down from a tree through the heat of the weather. వడముడి vaḍa-muḍi. n. One who makes it hot for his enemies, శత్రువులకు తాపమును గలుగజేయువాడు. A Telugu name of Bhīma, one of the heroes of the Pāndu race. భీముడు. 'క కడువడి ౛నియంతంతంబుడమిబడినకరులగములు పొరలుట కతనన్ వడముడియడచినతెరువేర్పడగని వేవేగతేరు పరపెం గదియున్.' M. VI. ii. 375.

(p. 1125) vaḍiyamu vaḍiyamu. [Tel.] n. A cake made of black gram (split, soaked and ground,) mixed with salt, chillies, and assafœtida; it is dried in the sun and eaten as pickle. నం౛ుకోవడమునకై మినపపప్పు మిరపకాయలు ఇంగువవేసి నూరిచేసి యెండబెట్టిన వటకము.
