(p. 6) aṅguḷamu anguḷamu. [Skt.] n. The thumb (not used in Telugu.) An inch. అంగుళి anguḷi. [Skt.] n. A finger, or toe. వేలు. అంగుళిత్రము or అంగుళిత్రాణము anguḷitramu. [Skt.] n. A guard of leather of iron worn by archers on the thumb. అంగుళిమానము [Skt.] n. A measure with the fingers or arms; such as a span, a cubit, &c. అంగుళీయకము [Skt.] n. A finger ring. ఉంగరము

(p. 1396) aṅguḷitrāṇamu anguḷi-trāṇamu. [Skt.] n. Armour for the hand or fingers. హస్తగనచము, అతైము.

(p. 51) anāmika a-nāmika. [Skt. lit. the nameless finger] n. The ringfinger, the one next to the little finger. ఉంగరపు వేలు, చిటికిన వేలికి ఇవతలి వేలు.

(p. 78) aratni aratni. [Skt.] n. A cubit, distance from the elbow to the extremity of the little finger. విస్తృతకనిష్ఠాంగుళి ముష్టికహస్తము, మోచేతినుంచి చితికెన వ్రేలుదాక. The elbow. మోచెయ్యి.

(p. 118) āmalakamu āmalakamu. [Skt.] n. A tree, Emblic myrobalan. ఉసిరికచెట్టు. వానికి అది కరతలామలకముగా నున్నది he has it at his finger's ends.

(p. 147) uṅgaramu or ఉంగ్రము ungaramu. [Tel.] n. A ring, a finger ring. ఉంగరపు వేలు the ring finger, or fourth finger. అనామిక.

(p. 163) upahatamu upa-hatamu. [Skt.] adj. Struck (by lightning, &c.) hurt, injured, destroyed. కొట్టబడిన. ఉపహతి upa-hati. n. A blow, calamity, trouble, ruin. ఉపద్రమము, నాశము, ఆపద. దైవోపతి చేత by the finger of God.

(p. 165) uppalavāyi uppala-vāyi. [Tel.] n. The space of flesh between the thumb and the forefinger. బొటన వ్రేలికిని చుట్టన వ్రేలికిని నడుమనుండు మేర.

(p. 177) ūrmi ūrmi. [Skt.] n. A wave. అల; the fold of a cloth వస్త్రపు ముడుత. Pain నొప్పి. షడూర్ములు the six kinds of pain, viz., hunger, thirst, grief, passion, old age and death. క్షుత్, తృష్ణా. శోక, మోహ, జరా, మరణములు. ఊర్మిక ūrmika. n. A wave, a plait or fold, a finger ring.

(p. 213) oramu or ఒరియు orayu. [Tel.] v. n. To rub together, be in contact. To touch or graze, as a bullet. To be bruised. To struggle or compete with. విద్యతో నొరయు to become familiar with (learning.) ఉంగరము వేలును ఒరిసికొనిపోయినది the ring has grown into the finger. గుండు ఒరిసిపోయినది the ball grazed (my hand.) నేను పడినందున నా మోకాలు ఒరిసికొనిపోయినది I fell and my knee was bruised. ఒరయు v. a. To rub రాచు, to try on the touchstone ఒరపెట్టు. To test or to examine పరీక్షించు. To consider or enquire into విచారించు. To search for వెదకు. ఒరయిక ora-ika. n. Rubbing, contact రాపిడి.

(p. 230) kaṭakāmukhamu kaṭakā-mukhamu. [Skt.] n. The position of the fingers of the right hand when drawing a bowstring. A. v. 150. Anirud. iii. 62.

(p. 240) kaniṣṭha kanishṭha. [Skt.] n. A young sister. చెల్లెలు. The little finger చిటికెనవేలు. కనిష్ఠము the least. కనిష్ఠిక the little finger. కనిష్ఠుడు the youngest brother. కనిష్ఠురాలు the youngest sister.

(p. 241) kanupu kanupu. [Tel.] n. A joint of the fingers, or toes, or of the sugar cane, &c. Same as గణుపు. (q. v.) కనుపుల గుండ్లు kanupula-gunḍlu. n. A sort of bracelet. Suca. I. 176.

(p. 247) kami or కమికిలి kami. [Tel.] n. A large handful. కమికెడు as large as the spread hand fingers will contain.

(p. 249) karajamu karajamu. [Skt.] Lit. 'what grows on the hand.' n. A finger nail.
