(p. 90) allāḍu or అల్లలాడు allāḍu. [Tel. అల్ల+ఆడు] v. n. To shake, move, wave, toss about, to wander about, to be in distress. ఆడు, గాలికి కొట్టుకొను, తిరుగు, సంచరించు, కడగండ్లబడు. 'ధరాచక్రమల్లాడె.' N. iv. 288. ధ్వజపటము గాలికి అల్లాడుచున్నది the flag flutters in the wind. కూటి అల్లాడుతాడు he is in want of bread. కొలువుకు అల్లాడుతాడు he is in trouble for want of employment. అల్లాటము allāṭamu [Tel.] n. A to-andfro movement, wandering about. అల్లారుదు or అల్లార్చు allāruṭsu. [Tel.] v. a. To shake, move, vibrate, agitate, wag, wave. ఆడించు, విసురు. 'ఘనవాలమల్లార్చు.' N. i. 144. అల్లారుముద్దు allāru-muddu. [Tel. అల్ల+ఆరు+ముద్దు.] Prettiness, agreeableness, sweetness. జనసమ్మతి, అతిప్రేమాస్పదము. అల్లారుముద్దుగా ad. Prettily, agreeably, sweetly, pleasantly. జనసమ్మతిగా, అందరికి సంతోషముగా, ముచ్చటగా. 'పడుచుదనమున వేడుకపడుచున్నాడు ముద్దరాండ్రకు నల్లారు ముద్దుగాను.' N. ix. 102.

(p. 355) gadgaḍamu or గడ్గదస్వరము or గద్గదిక gadgadamu. [Skt.] n. A murmur, broken voice, fluttering accents: sobbing or faltering: a choked sound. డగ్గుత్తిక.

(p. 366) gizagiza giza-giza. [Tel.] adv. (Anuk) Violently (fluttering), agitatedly. BD. 3. 1217. గిజగిజలాడు to flutter, be agitated, troubled. తత్తరపడు. గిజగిజతన్నుకొని చచ్చెను it writhed in agony and died.

(p. 507) tapatapa tapa-tapa. [Tel. (anuk)] n. A fluttering sound. రెక్కలుకొట్టుకొనుటయంద గుధ్వని తపతపమనుచు being in trouble: showing signs of distress.

(p. 519) tahataha taha-taha. [Tel.] n. Flurry, agitation, flutter. తమకము. Grief, vexation, వ్యాకులము. తహతహపడు to be in distress, to be at one's wits' end to be vexed, తమకపడు. To be excited with joy, to rejoice కుతూహలపడు. తహతహపెట్టు to distress, to agitate, తమకపరుచు; to cause to rejoice కుతూహలపరుచు.

(p. 521) tāṭiñcu tāṭinṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To flutter, wriggle or flounder: to mouth or move the cheeks in munching. కుక్క చెవులు తాటించినది the dog cocked his ears. పక్షి రెక్కలు తాటించినది the bird fluttered its wings. కాళ్లుతాటించు to kick. v. a. To pat or beat softly, to strike, as a breeze; to slap, buffet. కొట్టు.

(p. 1079) rivvu rivvu. [Tel.] n. A flutter. పక్షిపక్షాది ధ్వని. The name of a gregarious waterfowl with a grey body and black head. రివ్వుమని fluttering. రివ్వున rivvu-na. adv. Suddenly, abrupty, quickly, speedily. శీఘ్రముగా.

(p. 1081) ruppu or రువ్వు ruppu. [Tel.] v. To fling, toss, throw. విసిరివేయు. n. A fluttering noise, రెక్కలగాలిచప్పుడు. A sudden noise caused by anything that falls down, కూలుటవల్ల గలుగుధ్వని. రువ్వుయిలుగు ruvvu-y-ilugu. n. A kind of bird.

(p. 1085) reparepa repa-repa. [Tel. (anuk)] n. The flickering noise made by a flame. అగ్ని జ్వాలధ్వని. A faint flutter (of leaves, &c. as when a wind blows.) రవంతకొట్టుకొనడము, కొనప్రాణముతోనుండడము. రెపరెపమను or రెపరెపలాడు repa-repa-m-anu. v. n. To be faint or fluttering with weakness. రవంతకొట్టుకొను. కొనప్రాణము రవంతకొట్టుకొను, కొనప్రాణముతోనుండు. To be hungry, రవంత ఆకలియగు.

(p. 1369) spandamu spandamu. [Skt.] n. Motion, a slight movement, shaking, vibrating, fluttering, quivering, agitation. ఇంచుకకంపము, చలనము, కదలడము, వణకడము. స్పందితము spanditamu. adj. Agitated, moved, shaken. కంపితమైన, కదలింపబడిన.

(p. 1375) svaramu svaramu. [Skt.] n. A voice, sound, noise, note, tone, tune. A vowel. An accent. Air breathed throough a nostril. కంఠధ్వని, రవము, ధ్వని, తానము; షడ్జాది సంగీతస్వరము, అచ్చు, ఉదాత్తాదివేదస్వరము, నాసాపవనము, ఒక ముక్కుగుండా విడువబడినగాలి. సప్త స్వరములు the seven notes of the gamut. స్వరభంగము a fluttering of the voice. అపస్వరము a false note. స్వరమండలము or స్వరమండలి a musical instrument composed of a number of reeds joined together and played on with the finger. 'స్వరమండలములు కిన్నెరలు.' H. v. 412. స్వరశాస్త్రము a certain mode of fortune-telling, wherein the breath is emitted from one or the other nostril, and this is taken as the basis of a certain calculation. ముక్కుగాలిని పట్టి ప్రశ్నచెప్పే శాస్త్రము. The breath that comes through the right nostril is called సూర్యనాడి and the breath that comes through the left nostril is called చంద్రనాడి. స్వరపేటిక svara-pēṭika. n. The larynx.
