(p. 408) cārvākuḍu chārvākuḍu. [Skt.] n. A follower of the sceptical philosopher Charvāka. An atheist, a materialist or sceptic, a seceder from the Hindu creed: చార్వాకమతము scepticism, materialism. 'దేవునితోడ నేల చార్వాక మొనర్చితిన్.' (Kalah. iii. 193.) Why did I act as a freethinker and question the god?

(p. 519) tāntrikamu tāntrikamu. [Skt.] adj. Relating to the Tantras or unorthodox scriptures. Unscriptural, apocryphal, sophistical as opposed to వేదాంతము or అర్షము scriptural. తాంత్రికపు ఉపనయనము a loose performance of the rite of upanayanam. See on తంత్రము. తాంత్రికుడు tāntrikudu. n. One versed in the Tantras. A sophist, a freethinker or materialist.

(p. 568) tyajiñcu tyajinṭsu. [Skt. from √ త్యజ్ to leave.] v. a. To leave, quit, desert, abandon. విడిచిపెట్టు. త్యజనము tyaja-namu. n. Abandonment, desertion. విడుపు. త్యక్తము tyaktamu. adj. Left, quitted, deserted. విడువబడిన. త్యాగము tyāgamu. n. A giving up, or renunciation. Abdication. విడుపు. A gift, donation. ఈవి. ప్రాణత్యాగము suicide. త్యాగి tyāgi. n. A giver, donor, bestower. ఈవికాడు. కర్మత్యాగి a freethinker or philosopher. త్యాజ్యము tyājyamu. adj. Fit to be left. విడువదగిన. An unlucky hour, an hour astrologically unpropitious. వర్జ్యము, దోషయుక్తమైనందున విడువదగినకాలము.

(p. 749) pāṣaṇḍamu pāshanḍamu. [Skt.] n. Heresy, heterodoxy. పాషండుడు or పాషండి pāshanḍuḍu. n. A heretic, schismatic, unbeliever, blasphemer, freethinker, or heterodox Hindu. వేదబాహ్యుడు. శివపాషండులు the intolerant sect of Saivites, or Jangams. విష్ణు పాషండులు bigoted worshippers of Vishṇu. In the ఆశ్చర్యాష్టోత్తరశతము is this verse, 'నాస్తిక, మ్లేచ్ఛ, పాషండ, బౌద్ధ, ప్రాకృత, దుర్గమం' the atheist, the foreigner, the heretic, the Buddhist, the base man and the evil-doer.
