(p. 170) ulipi ulipi. [Tel.] adj. Brittle. (as glass): touchy, easily irritated, low, mean, wicked. దుర్మార్గమైన. ఉలిపి, ఉలిపికట్టె or ఉలిపిగొట్టు ulipi. n. A touchy person, an irritated person. తులువ. ఉలిపితెవులు itchiness, soreness, irritability.

(p. 179) eṇḍa enḍa. [Tel.] n. Heat, sunshine, glare, radiance, ఎండయెక్కినది the sun is high. చిరుఎండ the soft heat of the morning or evening; రేయెండ moonshine. వాడు వచ్చినప్పుడు నిండా యెండయెక్కినది it was late in the day when he arrived. ఎండకాచునప్పుడు when it is hot. నీకు ఎండ తగిలినది, or, నీ ముఖమునకు ఎండతగిలినది you look hot or fatigued, ఎండకన్నెరుగనివాడు one whose 'eye knows not the sunbeam,' i.e., who lives in the shade. ఎండకాలము eṇḍa-kālamu. n. The hot weather. ఎండగట్టు eṇḍa-gaṭṭu. v. t. To tie up (as a cloth) in the sun to dry. ఎండిపోవు. ఎండదెబ్బ eṇḍa-gāli. n. A burning wind. ఎండగోట్టు eṇḍa-goṭṭu. v. i. To dry up or wither ఎండిసోవు. ఎండదెబ్బ eṇḍa-debba. n. A stroke of the sun. ఎండదొర or ఎండరేడు eṇḍa-dora. n. The sun. ఎండపొద్దు eṇḍa-poddu. n. Noon. ఎండమావి eṇḍa-māvi. n. The mirage మృగతృష్ణ. ఎండబెట్టు eṇḍa-beṭṭu. v. t. To put out to dry. ఎదురెండ the sun against the face.

(p. 225) kaṇṭhamu kaṇṭhamu. [Skt.] n. The throat. కుత్తుక. Sound కుత్తుకధ్వని. Nearness, proximity, సమీపము. గ్రామకంఠము the village common. కంఠదూలము kaṇṭha-dūlamu. n. The beam forming the ridge of a pent roof. కంఠపాతము kaṇṭha-pāthamu. n. A lesson learned by rote. వానికి కంఠపాతమయిన పద్యములు verses which he had by heart. కంఠమాల kaṇṭha-māla. n. A necklace. కంటె. కంఠీరనము kaṇṭhi-ravamu. n. A lion. కంఠోక్తిగా kaṇṭhōkti-gā. adv. Specifically, definitively.

(p. 230) kaṭākṣamu kaṭākshamu. [Skt. కట+అక్షము.] n. A look; particularly, a glance or side look; a favourable look; (hence) grace, kindness. క్రూరకటాక్షము an angry glance, కటాక్షము kaṭākshamu. interj. You are very good! I thank you! కటాక్షించు kaṭākshinṭsu. v. a. To glance at to view, to countenance or favour. కటాక్షించవలసినది be pleased to view this with a gracious eye.
