(p. 44) addamu addamu. [Tel.] n. A mirror, a pane of glass, అద్దాలు or కంటి అద్దాలు spectacles. అద్దాలతలుపు a glass door. అద్దాలరవిక a spangled jacket. అద్దపుదోసిలి the fee for the looking glass, a certain allowance of grain granted to the village barber as remuneration for his services.

(p. 362) gāzu gāzu. [Tel.] n. Glass; any vitrified substance such as chinaware or a bracelet, which is made of glass black as jet. Hence, blackness. A bracelet. బంగారు గాజులు bracelets made of gold. Various kinds of bracelets are called గొల్లగాజులు, ఈడిగెగాజులు, మెలిగాజులు, తురకగాజులు, and లక్కపట్టెగాజులు. గాజులు the wards of a lock. గా౛ుకప్పెరలు gāzu-kapperalu. [Tel.] n. A certain sort of grain. H. iv. 156. గా౛ునీలము gāzu-nīlamu. n. An artificial sapphire. Also, deep blue or black. NH. v. 46. గా౛ురొయ్య gāzu-royya. n. A crayfish or large prawn. గా౛ుపారు gāzu-pāru. v. n. To blacken or turn blck కాంతిహీనమగు. గా౛ుప్పు gāz-uppu. n. Dross of a glasswork, scoriæ. గా౛ురాయి gāzu-rāyi. n. A glassy stone. Jet. గా౛ులవాండ్లు gāzula-vānḍlu. n. A certain caste who deal in glass bracelets.

(p. 376) gudi gudi. [Tel.] n. A bunch or cluster. గుత్తి. A staff. A string of dried fish, leaves, &c. సరము. మచ్చుల గుది a bunch or set of anything as samples. గాజులగుదికి రోకలి బూనినట్లు a bunch of glass bracelets do not require a rice-pounder to break them. గుదికాలు gudi-kālu. n. The heel. మడిమె (plu. గుదికాళ్లు). గుదికాళ్లనరము తెగగొట్టుట to hamstring. గుదికర్ర gudi-karra. n. A clog suspended from the neck of a beast to prevent it from straying. గుదికొను gudi-konu. v. a. (p. 386) goṭṭamu goṭṭamu. [Tel.] n. A tube, a cylinder, a barrel, of a gun, &c. క్రోవి. నూలుగొట్టము a shuttle. అద్దపుగొట్టము a telescope, literally, the tube with glasses. ఊదుగొట్టము a blowpipe. వెదరుగొట్టము a bamboo tube. గొట్టపుతాళము a padlock shaped like a tube.

Trimming, fringe, ribbon, edging, hem. సరిగ పట్టెగోటు a lace border. గోటుకత్తె gōṭu-katte. n. A beau. ఒయ్యారి. గోటుకాడు gōṭu-kāḍu. n. Cool, cold. శీతము. Benign, merciful, healing. Comfortable. చల్లకము ṭsallakamu. n. Sprinkling. Watering, irrigation. చల్లుట. చల్లకడి ṭsalla-kaḍi. n. Flummery: buttermilk mingled with fenugreek. మెంతిమజ్జిగ. చల్లకవ్వము ṭsalla-kavvamu. n. 'తే అందరికి నన్నివగల నానాందమిచ్చి, చల్లచేయగ.' (Ila. i. 79.) with her graces she charmed them all, cheering and refreshing their hearts. కన్నులచల్లచేసె.
