(p. 200) ēru ēru. [Tel.] v. t. To glean or pick up one after another ఎదుటనుండు వస్తువుల నొకటొకటిగా ఎత్తు. To attain age as in ఈడేరు ఏరించు ērinṭsu. v. t. To cause to pick up one after another. ఏరునట్లుచేయు. ఏరుకొను ēru-konu. v. i. To pick up. ఏరుపిడక ēru-piḍaka. n. A cowdung cake that is picked up and is not mixed with bran, &c., for fuel.

(p. 366) giṃza ginza. [Tel.] n. A grain, a seed. విత్తు. గింజలు grain or corn. గింజలు పట్టిన తర్వాత after the corn is formed in the ear. చింతగింజ a tamarind stone. మిరియపుగింజ a peppercorn: (fig.) a dapper little fellow. గింజలేరు to glean. గింజలేరుమనికి beggary: living upon gleanings. ఈతగిం౛నువేసి తాటిగిం౛ను ఈడ్చుట to venture a date seed in order to get hold of a palmyra stone, i.e., to stake a trifle in hopes of great gain.

(p. 717) pariga or పరిగె pariga. [Tel.] n. Ears of corn that drop down when a crop is harvested, gleanings of corn. చేనిలో రాలినవెన్ను. పరిగెలు fragments, shivers, తునియలు. 'పైనున్న చోళ్లలను పరిగెలు చేసి, బొమిడికంబములను డుల్లలపాడుచుచురాగ.' Pal. 439.

(p. 717) parigacēnu pariga-chēnu. n. A reaped field. సస్యముకోసినచేను. పరిగరి or పరిగవాడు parig-ari. n. A gleaner. పరిగ యేరువాడు. పరిగపిట్ట pariga-piṭṭa. n. The Rose-coloured Starling or Cholam bird, Pastor roseuṣ. (F.B.I.) పరిగబ్రతుకు pariga-oratuku. n. An uncertain means of livelihood, పరిగలేరుకొని బ్రతికేబ్రతుకు.

(p. 723) palaka palaka. [Tel.] Any flat surface of face. స్తంభము. మొదలైనవాని యొక్క ఒకవైపు. ఎనిమిదిపలకలకంబము an eight sided pillar. A plank, board, table, బల్ల. A board used as a slate in schools. A writing tablet, వ్రాయుపలక. A slab or flat stone. One side of any polygon, as of a lantern. A gambling table. ౛ూదమాడుబల్ల. The bar of wood in a loom that strikes the weft close after the shuttle has passed. A tom-tom. A shield, డాలు. 'ఆనిశిత భల్లములు తన మేనికిరాకుండ బలకమెరయ ౛డిరుండు భీముండుతృంచె మదంబారగ వాలునుంబలకయున్ శీఘ్రసందీప్తుడే.' M. IX. i. 154 'బలదుర్వారుండు భీముండుతృంచె మదంబారగవాలునుంబలకయు.' ib. IX. i. 304. తామ్రశాసనాలపలకలుమూడు three inscriptions on plates of copper. పలకమాగిన palaka-māgina. adj. Over ripe, dropping to pieces. పలకలు gleanings, corn picked up.
