(p. 146) īsapiṭṭa īsa-piṭṭa. [Tel.] n. The porcupine fish (Diodon hystrix). It is nearly globular and is covered with prickles.

(p. 215) oḷleṅka ollenka.[Tel.] n. A prickly globular fish with poisonous flesh. Tetrodon Hispidus.

(p. 247) kamma kamma. [Tel.] n. A branch, or bough of any tree of the palm species. మట్టు. A letter or bond written upon a palm leaf, a bond or agreement. లేఖ. A kind of large drop ear-ring worn by Hindu women. స్త్రీల కర్ణబూషణము. దుద్దు కమ్మ a globular ear-ring: పెద్దకమ్మ or బందరు కమ్మ an ear-ring formed as a cup which hides the whole ear. కమ్మ or కమ్మవారు. n. The name of a class of Telugu Sudras. కమ్మకత్తి a sort of bill-hook used by them. కమ్మది a female of that caste.

An all-round settlement, i.e., a lease which covers all rights and privileges. సమస్త స్వాతంత్య్రముతో ఇచ్చే గుత్త, బిల్మక్తా. గుండుకొను or గుండుగూడుకొను gunḍu-konu. v. n. To unite, to make one common effort. To surround చుట్టుకొను. 'అప్పుడందరును హాహాకారంబులన్ గుండుగూడుకొని సవరింపంగ.' G. ix. 65. గుండుములుగాడు gunḍu-mulupu-gāḍu. The Nightjar or the goatsucker, గుండువేయు gunḍu-vēyu. v. n. To fire a gun: to die. గుండు వేసి కాల్చు to fire a ball at. గుండుసూది gunḍu-sūdi. n. A pin. గుండ్రాయి gunḍ-rāyi. n. (p. 1134) vartulamu vartulamu. [Skt.] adj. Round, circular, globular, spherical. గుండ్రని, ఎట్రువైన, బటువైన. 'వర్తులాభరణము.' వసు. v.

(p. 1159) vāluga or వాలువ vāluga. [Tel.] n. A kind of fish. A fish in general. చేప. The name vāluga is given to two or three kinds of fish, which are scaleless, rank and oily. Thus, వాలుగచేప is a sea-fish, Trichivurus lepturus. See Russell, plate 165. Another vāluga is a fresh water fish, found in tanks but oftener in rivers. Another is a species of Silurus (Russell, plate 165.) ముల్లువాలుగ is the Cat fish, which is nearly globular, and is covered with prickles. వాలుగకంటి valuga-kanṭi. n. A beautiful eyed woman, a woman whose eyes are as beautiful as those of a fish. వాలుగటెంకి a sort of Scale-fish. Russell, plates 3 and 10. Rhinobatus læris. (Jerdon.) వాలుగపాము a certain venomous water snake. 'వాలుగమీలుమిట్టిపడగ.' S. iii. 291. 'కొర్రమీనుల తండ్రి కొలుపులెంకలకిచ్చె వాలుగలనుసంగడీలకిచ్చె.' G. i. 111. వాలుగడాలు, (మీనకేతనుడు) is a title of Manmatha whose banner is a fish.
