(ఉక్కు+అరు) v. n. To ebb (as strength), to be exhausted, to faint. To lose one's vigour. ఉక్కుచెడు. To die. చచ్చు. ఉక్కరి having lost vigor. సామర్థ్యము లేకపోయి. ఉక్కుమడగు ukku-maḍagu. v. i. Breath, life; strength, vigour, grief; a sigh, affliction, plague, hardship, evil result; retribution or result. వాని ఉసురు నీకు తగులును his trouble will come upon you. ఆడదాని ఉసురు తగలకపోదు the sigh of a woman will not fail to bring trouble (to him who caused her grief). వారి ఉసురు తాకి వాడు చెడిపోవును their sorrows shall be visited on his head. ఉసురుపోసికొను or ఉసురుపుచ్చుకొను usuru-pōsi-konu. v. a. To cause sighs. To afflict. నా ఉసురు ఏల పోసుకొంటావు why do you torment me thus? ఇది చేసినందు ప్రజల యొక్క ఉసురు పోసుకొనెను this called down the curses of the people. ఉసురుతో కూడా alive.

Male. మగ. గండుమూతి a grim face. గండీగ a large fly. గండుచీమ the large black ant. గండుచేప the carp which is proverbial for vigour and activity. గండుమీనుల వంటి వీక్షణములు eyes that glance bright like dolphins గండుపిల్లి a tom cat. పిల్లికూనగండాయెను the young kitten turned into a tom cat. గండు among tradesmen is a cant word for వరహా a pagoda. Thus in arithmetic గ1 is one pagoda; గగ one thousand pagodas. గండడగు ganḍaḍagu. [గండు+అడగు.] v. n. To lose heart or courage పరాక్రమహీనుడగు. (హరి. ఉ. ii.) To die చచ్చు. (Vasu. iv.) గండాడు ganḍāḍu. [గండు+ఆడు.] v. n. To have sexual intercourse. రమించు. గండుకరణము ganḍ-karaṇamu. n. The bird called the Green Barbet. Thereiceryx Zeylonicus (F.B.I.) (Jerdon's Catal. No. 217.) గండుడు ganḍuḍu. [Skt.] n. A courageous man, a hero. శూరుడు.

A necklace composed of different kinds of gems.

A gourd, a pumpkin, Cucurbita maxima. గుమ్మడితీగె or గుమ్మడిచెట్టు a gourd vine. గుమ్మడిపువ్వు a gourd flower. గుమ్మడి పండువంటిదేహము a form delicate and fragile as a gourd. పెండ్లి గుమ్మడికాయ or బూడిదగుమ్మడికాయ the white gourd, Benincasa cerifera (Watts.) The expression గుమ్మడిపండు is also a tuck or fold in the front of woman's petticoat. గుమ్మడికాయచెంబు brass pot of a particular shape. గుమ్మడికాయలాగున కూర్చున్నాడు he was sitting at his ease.
