(p. 381) gurramu gurramu. [Tel. short for కుదిర or కుదిరము (q. v.)] n. A horse, plu. గుర్రములు, గుర్రాలు or గురాలు. ఆడగుర్రము a mare. గుర్రపుముఖము the shin of a man's leg. వాడు ఇప్పుడు గుర్రము ఎక్కి ఉన్నాడు he is tipsy or slightly intoxicated. గుర్రపు గట్టాకు gurrapu-gatt-āku. n. Prickly nightshade, Solanum Jacquini. వాకుడు. గుర్రపుచబయకు a horse whip కొరడా; also a slender fish, Syngnathus Typhlus, Linn-Russell, No. 30. గుర్రపుపిల్ల a foal, a colt. గుర్రపుపీట a piece of wood on a door with a horse's face carved on it. గుర్రపు పెర౛ a kind of snake. G. viii. 101. గుర్రపుమారిజిట్ట gurrapu-mari-jiṭṭa. n. The Indian Pipit, Anthus rufulus (F.B.I.). గుర్రపువాడు a groom. గుర్రపు వాసము gurrapu-vāsamu. n. A prop in the roof of a house. గుర్రపుచుక్క a certain star అశ్వినీనక్షత్రము.

Slight, a look, vision, glance. లక్ష్మి అతణ్ని చిన్న చూపుచూచినది fortune frowned on him. చిన్నచూపు humiliation, contempt. బ్రతికే చూపు కనిపించలేదు there was no prospect of his living longer. చూపోపు (చూపు+ఓపు) to endure the sight of. చూడ సహించు. చూపోపక unable to stand before his face. A. v. 78. చూపు or చూపించు v. a. To shew, point out. భయముచూపించు to frighten. అన్నము చూపించు to provide for, give bread to. ఆశ చూపించు to hold out hopes or prospects. చూపుడుకోక a transparent petticoat. చూపుగుర్రము or చూపుడుగుర్రము tsūpu-gurramu. n. A block head, a useless man. పనికి ఉపయోగము కానివాడు. చూపుడువేలు ṭsūpuḍu-vēlu. n. The forefinger. జుట్టునవేలు. చూపరులు ṭsūp-arulu. n. Spectators, bystanders. చూపరి ṭsūpari. n. A handsome woman, or man. చక్కనివాడు, లేక, చక్కనిది.

(p. 733) pāgā or పాగ pāgā. [Tel.] n. A turban. పాగాచుట్టు to tie on or form a turban. Also, a stable. అశ్వశాల. A troop of horses, అశ్వసమూహము. పాగాలు Same as పావకోళ్లు (q. v.) పాగాగుర్రము pāgā-gurramu. n. A livery horse, stalled horse.
