(p. 208) ōḍuduḍuku or ఒడుదొడుకు oḍu-duḍuku. [Tel.] n. Unevenness, hardness, difficulty, సమముకామి, సంకటము. ఒడుదుడుకు జరిగించు to drive an iniquitous bargain. ఆ రాయి ఒడుదుడుకుగా నున్నది that rock seems likely to topple down. ఆ స్థలము ఒడుదుడుకైనందున కుండ పడిపోయినది as the ground was uneven, the pot toppled over.

(p. 228) kakkasamu kakkasamu. [Tel. for కర్కశము] n. Rigidity, hardness, harshness, hardship, trouble, సంకటము, బాధ, కాఠిన్యము, మనఃక్రోధము. కక్కసములాడు to be rude or cruel. కక్కసపు గుర్రము a stubborn horse. కక్కసపెట్టు to be harsh, to behave cruelly. కక్కసపడు to suffer pain బాధపడు, సంకటపడు. కక్కసించు kakka-sinṭsu. v. a. To beset, harass: to plague. బాధించు. సంకటపరచు. ఆ రూకలకై నన్ను కక్కసించినాడు he harassed me for payment.

(p. 363) gāṭamu gāṭamu. [Tel.] n. Difficulty, severity, hardness. అధికము, చురుకు. adj. Much, great, thick, hard, strong, tight. మిక్కుటమయిన, చురుకైన.

(p. 886) birusu birusu. [Tel.] adj. Hard, firm, coarse, harsh, rough. అన్నము బిరుసుగానున్నది the rice is hard, not being sufficiently boiled. తలబిరుసుమనిషి a stubborn man. n. Briskness, hardness, firmness, roughness, harshness to the touch. కాఠిన్యము. బిరుసుగ birusu-ga. adv. Harshly, roughly. బిరుసులు birusulu. n. A sort of fire work called flowerpots. బాణసంచు విశేషము. 'బిరుసులు తుపాకులు బాణంబులనగ్ని ముట్టించి.' Sūrya Tanaya. iv. 122.

(p. 886) birra birra. [Tel.] n. Tightness. బిగువు. బిర్రబిగియు birra-bigiyu. v. n. To become very tight. To stop completely. మాట్లాడక బిర్రబిగిసికొనియున్నాడు he is stubbornly silent. బిర్రు birru. n. Tightness, hardness, stiffness. దృఢత్వము. Haste, speed. వేగము. Heat, as of the sun. Strictness, Peremptory inflexibility. ఉద్ధతి. A bar, as securing a door. adj. Tight, hot, &c. ఉద్ధతము. బిర్రెండ fierce sunshine. Vish. vi. 220.

(p. 1114) lōhamu lōhamu. [Skt.] n. Metal in general, అష్టలోహసామాన్యము. Iron. ఇనుము, పంచలోహములు the five metals, viz., gold, silver, brass, bronze and iron. అష్టలోహములు include lead, tin and another metal called ధీవరము. లోహకారకుడు lōha-kārakuḍu. n. A blacksmith. కరమలవాడు, కమ్మరి. లోహజిత్తు lōha-jittu. n. A diamond (as 'surpassing all metals' in hardness.), వజ్రము.
