(p. 63) apahariñcu apa-harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To pillage, plunder, take by violence or deceit, usurp. ముచ్చిలించు, అన్యాయముగా ఎత్తుకొని పోవు. అపహరణము apa-haraṇamu. [Skt.] n. Plundering, purloining, carrying off, stealing. చౌర్యము, ముచ్చిలించడము, అన్యాయముగా ఎత్తుకొని పోవడము. అపహర్త n. One who carries away by force or violence, a thief, rogue. అపహారము apahāramu. [Skt.] n. Pillage, plunder, taking by violence. దోచుకోవడము. సర్వస్వాపహారము robbing of everything. హాదత్తాపపాదము taking back a gift. దత్తాహృతము adj. that which is robbed or stolen.

(p. 68) abhighariñcu abhi-gharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To put a few drops of clarified butter upon rice before eating or before the rise is put into the sacrificial fire to purify the food. నేతి చుక్క వేయడము, భోజనమునకు ముందుగాగాని ఆహుతిచేయడమునకు ముందుగాగాని అన్నములో నేతి చుక్క వేయడము.

(p. 93) avadhariñcu ava-dharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To favour with one's attention. To lend an ear, listen. To wear, put on. ఎచ్చరికపడు, విను, ఆలకించు, పెట్టుకొను. 'నవపింఛమయబూషలవధరించినటించు.' Swa. iii. 25. 'దుర్వసువంశం బునంబుట్టిననీ కిట్టిశో భనంబులే మద్భుతంబు లవధింవుము.' A pref. 21 అవధారు (the second person singular of the imperative of the verb. అవధరించు.) Oh Listen! O give ear! వినుము, ఆలకించుము, చిత్తగింపుము. 'కుబేర శంకరుల్ సరసనుగొల్వ మ్రొక్కులిడ స్వామిపరాక వధారుదేవ హెచ్చరిక యటంచుకంచుకులు.' N. i. 177.

(p. 130) āhariñcu āharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. t. To rob. అపహరించు; to attract. ఆకర్షించు. To eat as food. ఆరగించు. ఆహర్త āharta. n. One who eats. అహరించువాడు.

(p. 159) uddhariñcu ud-dharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To raise, lift, set up, support, up-hold, re-establish, restore, rescue, deliver, preserve, protect. పైకెత్తు, కాపాడు. వేదములనుద్ధరించు to restore the Vedas. సంసారమునుద్ధరించు to support the family. 'నగరగలిసిన గ్రామము నుద్ధరించినాడు' he saved the village which had been sequestrated.

(p. 163) upasaṃhariñcu upa-samharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. t. To clear away, get rid of. To kill. To recall. సంహరించు, మరలించు. ఉపసంహారము upa-samhāramu. n. Recalling, annulling, concluding: averting a spell, recalling an enchanted arrow to prevent its taking effect, refutation. తొలగించుట, మరలించుట, ఖండించుట.

(p. 620) dhariñcu dharinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To wear or put on. To bear, తాల్చు. To hold or contain. ఆజ్ఞ శిరస్సునధరించు to obey (an order), bow to (a command); lit: to bear it on the head. గర్భముధరించు to become pregnant, lit: to bear a womb.

(p. 720) parihariñcu pari-harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To desert, cast off, throw away, quit, discard, reject. To quash, set aside, nonsuit. To remove, abolish, clear away. పరిహారము pari-hāramu. n. Abandonment, shunning, removal. Doing away, abolition, remedy. దానికి పరిహారములేదు there is no remedy for it. పరిహారి pari-hāri. n. One who removes, or shuns. పరిహరించువాడు. పరిహృతము pari-hṛitamu. adj. Got rid off, shaken off. పోగొట్టబడిన. పరిహార్యము pari-hāryamu. adj. Fit to be got rid off. విడువదగిన.

(p. 918) bhariñcu bharinṭsu. [Skt. from భృ to bear.] v. a. To bear, sustain, maintain, support, endure, tolerate. మోయు, ప్రోచు, రక్షించు. భరము bharamu. n. Weight, బరువు. Excellence, అతిశయము. భరితము bharitamu. adj. Filled with, full, పూరితము. See భర్త, భారము and భార్య.

(p. 1043) mohariñcu moharinṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To face or front in battle. మొనచేయించు.

(p. 1286) saṃhariñcu sam-harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. a. To kill, destroy. చంపు. సంహారము or సంహరణము sam-hāramu. n. Destruction, annihilation, killing. నాశముచేయడము, చంపడము. సంహారకుడు or సంహర్త sam-hārakuḍu. n. One who kills. చంపువాడు. సంహృతము sam-hṛitamu. adj. Destroyed, killed. హతముచేయబడ్డ. 'అఖిలజనములు సంహృతమయ్యెనిచట.' M. XVI. i. 75. సంహృతి sam-hṛiti. n. Destruction, loss. సంహారము.

(p. 1383) hariñcu or హరియించు harinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To be digested, to waste away, to perish, go off or disappear, as a disease, to subside, క్షయించు, క్షీణించు, జీర్ణించు, అడగు. భేదికియిచ్చిన ఔషధము హరించిపోయినది the medicine was carried off. i.e., the medicine did no good. v. a. To counteract, expel, as an antidote does; to carry off. To take by violence, usurp, plunder, rob, steal, kill, destroy. దోచుకొను, దొంగిలించు, చంపు, నాశముచేయు, అడచు. మజ్జిగ మామిడి పండ్ల విషమును హరించును butter-milk counteracts the bad effects of mangoes. 'చోరవృత్తిని హరించి తముంగొని పోవుచుండగా.' N. i. 239. హరణము hara-ṇamu. n. Seizing, taking away forcibly, removing, carrying or bearing off; as of pain, &c. Stealth, theft, rape. Lapse or passing of time. నివారణము. హరించుట. గ్రహణము. A special gift or bonus: a nuptial present, అరణము, అల్లునికి కూతురికి. అరణము, అల్లునికి కూతురికి ఇచ్చినసొమ్ము. భుక్తికైనాహరణభరణ శక్తి చూచినాను I did to the best of my power to gain my bread. మిక్కిలి కాలహరణ మయినది there has been much loss of time. ఆ సొమ్మును చెల్లించకుండా కాలహరణము చేయుచున్నాడు he is putting off the payment of the money. వాడు ఊరక కాలహరణము చేస్తున్నాడు he is wasting the time. హరింపు harimpu. n. Waste, loss, embezzlement, abstraction. నాశము, నష్టము, దోపిడి, అపహారము. హరింపులోకితెచ్చు to digest, జీర్ణించు. హరికుడు hari-kuḍu. n. A thief, a gambler. తస్కరుడు, ద్యూతకారుడు. హరికప్రయోగము gambling, ద్యూతము. 'రాజమృగాదిముఖబంధనంబును హరిక ప్రయోగంబును.' G. ix. 177.
