(p. 27) agrahāramu agra-hāramu. [Skt.] n. A street or village inhabited by brahmins. A village of which the old and hereditary cultivators are brahmins. A village granted to brahmins by government for charitable or religious purposes; either rent free, or at a favourable assessment. The conditions on which these villages are held are specified thus, సర్వాగ్రహారము a village free from all tax. శ్రోత్రియాగ్రహారము a village granted at a certain fixed assessment. జోడి అగ్రహారము, or బిల్మకా అగ్రగారము or, కట్టుబడి అగ్రహారము a village granted at a rent which fluctuates with the produce. అగ్రహారికుడు a brahmin belonging to such a village. అగ్రహారమనుభవించేవాడు he who enjoys a village free from tax.

(p. 75) ammanabōṇṭlu ammana-bōnṭlu. [Tel.] n. Plu Cunning jades. దొంగతొత్తులు. 'బంకెతల్ రంకెతల్ పచ్చిరక్కెసలు, రొమ్మునకుంపట్లు రోత ప్రామిళ్లు, బ్రమ్మెతకత్తెలు నమ్మనబోంట్లు.' Charitra P. 460 line 7.

(p. 136) iddhamu iddhamu. [Skt.] adj. Glowing, shining, pure. ప్రకాశము, శుగ్ధము, ఇద్ధచరితుడు iddha-charituḍu. A man of glorious deeds. ఇద్ధరూపి iddha-rūpi. One of glorious form.

(p. 150) ucitamu uchitamu. [Skt.] adj. Proper, agreeable. Free, graits, for charity. ఉచితముగా uchitamu-gā. adv. Freely, as a gift, of one's own pleasure, without money or price.

(p. 161) upakaraṇamu upa-karaṇamu. [Skt.] n. An instrument, implement, apparatus, an appendage. సాధనము. ఉపకరించు upa-karinṭsu. v. a. To be of use, benefit, do good to. ఉపకారము upa-kāramu. n. Beneficence, kindness, obligation, aid, help. మేలు ఉపకారి upa-kāri. adj. Beneficent, kind, charitable, obliging, assisting. n. One who does good. ఉపకారిక upa-kārika. n. (p. 273) kāyamu kāyamu. [Skt.] n. The body. అతడు చచ్చినప్పటికిన్ని బహుధర్మాత్ముడని పేరుపడి యశఃకాయముతో యిప్పిటికిన్ని జీవించుచున్నాడు though he is dead, through his reputation for charity he still lives in his fame. కాయము [Tel.] n. A certain restorative medicine, administered to a woman in childbed. బాలెంతలకిచ్చే మందు. H. i. 114. కాయపుష్టి kāyapushṭi. n. Stoutness. కాయసిద్ధి corporeal perfection imagined to be attainable by religious austerities. కాయసిద్ధుడై ఉన్నాడు he bears a charmed life.

(p. 530) tiripamu or తిరపెము tiripamu. [Tel.] n. Alms, what is given in charity. భిక్షము. తిరిపెగాడు or తిరిపరి tiripe-gāḍu. n. A beggar. భిక్షకుడు. తిరిపగొట్టు tiripa-goṭṭu. n. The measurement round a heap of grain. తులార్జులు the measurement of a heap of grain with a cord both over the top (తుల) and round the bottom (అర్జు.) తులదూగు tula-dūgu. v. n.
