Affection, regard, care, love, favour. గర్వము, సంరక్షణ, విశ్వాసము, దేశాభిమానము love of one's own country, patriotism. వాడు దేహాభిమానము కలవాడు he pays great attention to his own ease. he is luxurious. అభిమానపుత్రుడు one who passes for one's son, or is looked upon as a son, or, supposed to be his child. అభిమానపుత్రత్వము an understood or attribute sonship. తమ అభిమానము కావలసినది I beg your patronage. నా యందు నిండా అభిమానముగా జరిగించినాడు he has treated me honourably. ఒకని మీద అభిమానము ఉంచు to be partial to a person. అభిమానము లేనివాడు one without affection; unkind అభిమాని n. He who loves. విశ్వాసము గలవాడు. మతాభిమాని a bigot. కులాభిమాని one who stands up for his caste. దేశాభిమాని the advocate for his country, he who loves his country, a patriot. అభిమానించు v. a. To honor, favour, protect, patronise, regard with kindness. గొప్ప చేయు, గౌరవించు.

(p. 166) ubbu ubbu. [Tel.] n. Swelling ఉబ్బడము. సంతోషము. Haughtiness. ఉబ్బు v. n. To swell, be puffed up, to be delighted. ఉబ్బిన swollen or proud. నవ్వి కడుపు ఉబ్బినది he burst with laughter. 'ఉబ్బి చెలరేగి వసుదేవుడుత్సహించె.' (B. X.) he was overjoyed. అది నాకు దొరికినదని వానికి కడుపు ఉబ్బుచున్నది he is vexed at my obtaining this. కడుపుబ్బు suppression of urine, envy, spite, ఉబ్బున haughtily, fiercly. ఉబ్బించు ubbinṭsu. v. t. To inflate, to puff up with joy, to flatter. ఉబ్బు రోగము ubbu-rōgamu. n. Dropsy.

A break, or the act of breaking. An objection, contradiction. విరుచుట, భగ్నము, అడ్డము, ఆక్షేపణ, మెడవిరుపులు a puzzle, stumbling block. మోనివిరుపులు turning up the lip in scorn. adj. Counteracting, విరుగుడు. విరుచుకొను viruṭsu-konu. (middle voice, with passive sense.) To be defeated. అదండు వెనకకు విరుచుకొనిపోయినది the army was broken and retreated. ఒళ్లువిరుచుకొన్నాడు he stretched himself through weariness. ఈ కొంచెముపనికి ఏల యెముకలువిరుచుకొంటావు why do you break your bones, i.e., take so much trouble for this trifling business.
