(p. 885) birudu or బిరుదము birudu. [Tel.] n. A badge resembling a medal. An honorary distinctive mark. శూరలాంఛనము. బిరుదుగల honored with a badge. Courage, శౌర్యము. Resolution, a vow, ప్రతిజ్ఞ. (p. 1119) vakkaṇa or వక్కాణ vakkaṇa. [from Skt. వచ్ to speak.] n. The heading of a letter, &c. Compliments written at the head of a letter, జాబు మొదలైనవాటికి మొదట వ్రాసే వాడుకమాటలు.
