(p. 57) anumānamu anu-mānamu. [Skt.] n, Surmise, conjecture, suspicion, doubt. In logic, inference. సందేహము, యుక్తి చేత నిర్ణయించడము. వాని మీద అనుమానము తోచినది, వాని మీద అనుమానమున్నది I suspect him. అనుమానఖండము Induction (logic.) అనుమానించు or అనుమానపడు anu-māninṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To doubt, hesitate, suspect. సందేహపడు.

(p. 78) aragali aragali. [Tel. from అర+కలిమి] n. Hesitation, doubt సందేహము, అనుమానము అరగలిగొను aragaligonu. [Tel.] v. n. To hesitate, doubt. సందేహించు,అనుమానించు. 'బావవేడినజాలుబసవయ్య యిప్పు, డావస్త్రమొసగెడు నరగలిగొనడు.' BD. iii. 93.

(p. 85) arrāḍu arrāḍu. [Tel. అర్రు+ఆడు.] v. n. To hesitate, waver, roam about, wander about in distress. తడబడు, అల్లాడు, దేవులాడు.' ఒలువనితిలలకు నొలిచినతిలలీనర్రాడు వసుమతీ సురభార్యా తిలకమునందు.' P. ii. 4. 'పరువంబు గాగజొప్పడని మామిడి తేనె లాననాసాసడ నర్రాడునవియు.' Pariz. iii. 97.

(p. 89) aluku or అళుకు or అళ్కు aluku. [Tel.] n. Fear; terror; dread. భయము. అళుకు aḷuku. v. n. To be afraid, to fear, to scruple, hesitate. జంకు, వెనుకదీయు. అళుకరి aḷukari. [Tel.] n. A coward, a man of no courage. భయశీలుడు.

(p. 30) azjāyiñcu azzāyinṭsu. [H.] v. n. To doubt, hesitate. సందేహించు.

(p. 217) ōṭi ōṭi. [Tel. from ఓడు crack] adj. Cracked ఓటికుండ a cracked pitcher అది ఓటిబొచ్చె it is a mere pack of rubbish. ఓటితిపిరదండె ōṭi-tipira-dande. A kind of guitar. వీణావాద్యభేదము. A. vi. 4. ఓటిల్లు ōṭillu. v. i. To hesitate ఓడు, సంకోచించు. ఓటిల్లుచిందర a kind of game.

(p. 217) ōḍu ōḍu. [Tel.] v. n. or v. a. To fail, lose, to be defeated or worsted, అపజయపడు. To flow or be lost, as blood, పారు. To shrink, hesitate, fall back భయపడు, సంకోచించు. ఆట ఓడినాడు he lost the game. జీవహింసకోడి shrinking or hesitating to take away life. ఓడుపడు to be frightened. వర్రు ఓడ అనగా ప్రవాహముగా పారు to rush, as a flood. M. Xiii. ii. 451. మీమోము చూడనోడి unable to look you in the face. ఓడకోడకు fly not! flee not.

(p. 239) kaḍugu kadugu. [Tel.] v. n. To doubt, fear, hesitate. BD. vii. 58.

(p. 283) kimmanaka kimm-anaka. [Tel.] adv. Without hesitation. 'Without whats and where-fores.' కిమ్మనకుండా చేసినారు they did it without saying a word.

(p. 313) koṅku konku. [Tel.] v. n. To be timid, alarmed: to fear, to dread, to hesitate. భయపడు, వెనుదీయు, సంకోచించు. n. Fear. Timidity, shyness. వెనుదీయుట. Hesitation. సంకోచము. Shame, scruple. surmise. Distortion, as that of a cripple. కొంకుకొసరులేని careless and heedless. కొంకుపోవక unterrified. కొంకుపడు konku-paḍu. v. n. To fear. భయపడు. To hesitate సంకోచించు. To trip, stumble, blunder. కొంకుపాటు fearing, hesitation. కొంకుపోవు konku-pōvu. n. To become crooked or bent. కొంకరలుపోవు.

(p. 313) koñcadhu konṭsu. [Tel.] v. n. To hesitate. కొంకు, సంకోచించు. To retreat, draw back. వెనుకతీయు. కొంచధు konṭsu. n. Dirty sweat. మురికిచెమట.

(p. 318) kotuku kotuku. [Tel.] n. To pine. To hesitate. సంకోచించు, వర్ణ లోపముగా మాట్లాడు; to grudge. To boil as water. To stifle sighs. కోతికి మాట్లాడుట to hesitate in speaking. నీళ్లు కొతుకుచున్నవి the water is boiling. n. Hesitation. సంకోచము. కొతుకుపడు to stutter in speaking. వర్ణలోపముగా మాట్లాడు.
