(p. 94) avarōdhamu ava-rōdhamu. [Skt.] n. Obstacle, hindrance. A seraglio. అడ్డి, అడ్డగింత, అంతఃపురము, అవరోధించు ava-rōdhinṭsu. [Skt.] v. t. To obstruct, to hinder. అడ్డగించు.

(p. 109) āgu āgu. [Tel.] v. n. To stop, to stay, asbtain, refrain. To bear (as a cord does a weight.) To be confined, set aside, or reserved. ఆయింటను ఆగబడి యున్నదేవకి (B. X. 75.) Devaki who was kept in restraint. తల్లిదండ్రులులెని బాలురు ఆగ నీవు దిక్కు thou art the refuge of the helpless. పశువులకు ఆరినబీడు land set aside or reserved for pasture. ఇది లేనిది నాకు ఆగదు I cannot get on without this. నా నోటిలో ఆ మాట ఆగదు I cannot keep that word a secret. ఆగు, ఆగించు, ఆచు, ఆపు the causal of ఆగు: āgu. [Tel.] v. t. To stop, check, hinder. To keep, tend. To look to, superintend, guard, protect, preserve. To fold or gather as a flock. నోరాచి మాట్లాడిరి they spoke cautiously. చెయ్యి ఆపక (T. v. 22.) without intermission. నిద్ర ఆచుట to refrain from sleep, keep away drowsiness. రాత్రిళ్లు ఇక్కడ మందులు ఆచుకొని యుండేవారు they used to keep cattle here at nights.

(p. 495) ḍekku ḍekku. [Tel.] v. a. To strike, smite; to hinder, arrest. అడ్డగించు, నివారించు, అటకాయించు.

(p. 544) tūlu tūlu. [Tel.] v. n. To shake. చలించు. To reel, to stagger. To faint, or become giddy. To be overcome with love, &c. To waver, hesitate. To be chagrined or disappointed. చిన్నపోవు. తూలపుచ్చు tūla-puṭsṭsu. v. t. To cause to be chagrined, to disappoint, to disgrace. తూలాడు (తూలి+ఆడు) Same as తూలు.

(p. 687) pañcakamu panṭsakamu. [from Skt. పశ్చాత్ adter, hinder.] n. The hinder part of a horse's body. అశ్వముయొక్క పశ్చాత్ప్రదేశము. [From Skt. పంచ five.] n. Five bushels. అయిదు తూములు.

(p. 764) pucchamu puchchhamu. [Skt.] n. The tail, the hinder part. తోక, వెనుకప్రక్క.

(p. 829) pratibandhamu prati-bandhamu. [Skt.] n. An obstacle, impediment, hindrance. ప్రతి బంధకము prati-bandhakamu. adj. Impeding, obstructing. n. An obstacle, impediment, hindrance. వర్షప్రతిబంధకము hindrance caused by rain, or delay of rain. ప్రతిభంధించు prati-bandhinṭsu. v. n. To act against, hinder, obstruct, contradict, అడ్డగించు. అందుకీ సూత్రము ప్రతిబంధించుచున్నది this rule is against it.

An obstacle, hindrance, what hinders, opposes, or pains. బాధకము లేదు never mind, no matter: there's no must in the case. adj. Troublesome, hindering, awkward, opposing. బాధపడు bādha-paḍu. v. n. To be in pain, to grieve. బాధించు or బాధపెట్టు bādhinṭsu. v. a. To vex, trouble, oppress, torment, plague, force. బాధితుడు bādhituḍu. n. One who suffers or is afflicted. బాధ్యము bādhyamu. adj. Responsible, liable. Connected with, related to, having a right or claim to. బాధ్యత or బాధ్యత్వము bādhyata n. Responsibility, liability. Relationship, heirship. Right. claim. బాధ్యస్థుడు or బాధ్యుడు bādhya-sthuḍu. n. One who is responsible or liable. An heir. A rightful owner. దానికి నేనా బాధ్యుడను am I responsible for that? బాధ్యపడు bādhyapaḍu. v. n. To be obliged or bound, to be under obligation to be responsible or liable. బాధ్యపరచు bādhya-paraṭsu. v. a. To oblige, put under obligation, cause to be responsible.
