(p. 135) iṭṭalamu iṭṭatamu. [Tel.] adj. Vast, huge, great, abundant. గొప్ప, తరుచు, అధికము, విస్తారము. ఇట్టులముగ or ఇట్టులమున iṭṭulam-u-ga. Vastly, greatly. 'అట్టిదియేలపుట్టునమరాధిప నీవు జగత్ప్రభుండవై యిట్టలమైన తేజము వహించి సుఖంబుననుండు.' M. III. v. 241.

(p. 329) kōlu kōlu. [Tel.] adj. Big, great, huge పెద్ద. కోలుపులి or కోల్పులి a royal tiger. కోలుపడిగెలు lofty banners. adv. Very. మిక్కిలి. See కోలుమసగు.

(p. 350) gajamu gajamu. [Skt.] n. An elephant. adj. Large. గజనిమ్మ the horse lime, i.e., the large lime: గజవ్యాళి a huge dragon, గజదొంగ a great rogue. గజము [H.] n. A yard, three feet. గజేంద్రగజము gajēndra-gajamu. n. The measure called 'the great yard' equal to ten yards. గజకర్ణము gaja-karṇamu. (Lit. An 'elephant's ear.') n. A large fan with a hollow handle. wherein it can be turned round rapidly. గజకర్ణమురీతిగా fickle, uncertain as a weathercock. గజగామిని or గజయాన gaja-gāmini. n. A woman with the rolling pace of an elephant i.e., with a majestic gait. గజనిమీలినము gaja-nimīlinamu. n. Wakefulness or lightness of sleep (Literally, an elephant's sleep.) A nap. Cunning కపటము. గజపిప్పలి gaja-pippali. n. Long pepper. గజపుష్పము gaja-pushpamu. n. A plant also called Messua Roxburghi. నాగకేసరము. R. v. 310. గజరాజము gaja-rājamu. n. A sort of cloth. BD. iii. 103. గజరిపువు the enemy of the elephant, i.e., the lion. గజాననుడు gaj-ānanuḍu. 'Elephant faced.' -- an epithet of Gaṇēsa వినాయకుడు.

(p. 358) gariṭe gariṭe. [Tel.] n. A spoon, ladle. మణిగాజుగరిటె a trowel. పొరుగరిటె a huge ladle borne in processions. ముద్రగరిటె a long ladle, with a bell at the end.

(p. 528) timi timi. [Skt.] n. A huge fabulous fish, like the leviathan. R. ii. ix. 9. నూరామడపొడుగు చేప. తిమింగిలము timingalamu. n. A huge sea monster, like the kraken, that is supposed to be capable of devouring the తిమి.

(p. 654) nibiḍamu nibiḍamu. [Skt.] adj. Thick, దట్టము. Crowded (as a mob.) Deep, well defined (as a colour); bulky, huge. Gross. thick (as darkness.) నిబిడాంధకారము pitch darkness. నిబిడీకరించు nibiḍi-karinṭsu. v. n. To become thick, to thicken. దట్టముచేయు. To be crowded. నిబిడీకృతము nibiḍīkṛitamu. adj. Thronged. crowded, నిబడముగా చేయబడిన. నిబిరీసము ṇibirīsamu. adj. Thick. నిబిడము. Full, plump, big. Crowded, populous. Satyah. iii. 89.

(p. 686) pañca pancha. [Skt.] adj. Large, big, as పంచాస్యము or పంచాననము lit: 'huge mouthed,' i.e., a lion. పంచగడ్డము a great beard. పంచడబ్బు a mere fiction. (this name is given to apocryphal poems that are not grounded on any classical tradition as the మైరావణచరిత్ర, శతముఖరామాయణము, కృష్ణార్జున సంవాదము, జైమినిభారతము.

(p. 838) praḷayamu pra-ḷayamu. [Skt. ప్ర+లయము.] n. Destruction. The final destruction of the world. కల్పాంతము. Danger, calamity, అపాయము. Death, మృత్యువు. ప్రళయకాలము an awful or protentous period. జలప్రళయము the Deluge. ప్రళయముగా pra-ḷayamu-gā. adv. In a flood, in a deluge. Prodigiously, hugely, grandly. ఇంతటిలో వానప్రళయముగా వచ్చినది the rain came in floods. రాజు ప్రళయముగా బయలుదేరినాడు the king set out very grandly. వానిపని బహుప్రళయముగానున్నది he lives in grand style, his business goes on thrivingly. ప్రళయముగా మాట్లాడుతాడు he talks pompously. ఏరు ప్రళయముగా పారుచున్నది the river is rushing furiously.

(p. 985) mitamu mitamu. [Skt.] adj. Moderate, temperate. Few. మితజనముతో with a few followers. మితభాషి one who is moderate in language, not talkative. మితజ్ఞులు the ignorant. n. A bound, measure, limit, term; moderation, limitation. మితములేని or అమితమైన countless, endless, immoderate. మితి miti. n. End, limit. పరిమాణము, హద్దు, కొలది, గడువు, మితిలేని unlimited, endless, huge, vast. 'అన్నకామునితోడ ఆడినమితులు.' Pal. 120. ఆడినమితులు the terms proposed.
