(p. 360) garvamu garvamu. [Skt.] n. Pride, haughtiness. అహంకారము. గర్వభంగము dishonour, degradation, humiliation, disgrace. గర్వించు or గర్వపడు garvinṭsu. v. n. To be proud. గర్వి or గర్వితుడు garvi. n. A proud man.

(p. 416) cinna chinna. [Tel.] adj. Small, little, short, young, mean, trifling, insignificant, narrow: disgraceful. ముఖము చిన్నచేసుకొను to be ashamed, to be downcast or sorrowful. Junior, Younger, smaller. చిన్నచూపు humiliation, scorn. దేవుడు చిన్నచూపుచూస్తే యెవరేమి చేయవచ్చును when God withdraws his favour what can man do? చిన్న ఆకురాయి chinna-ākurāyi. n. The Blackheaded Cuckoo-Shrike, Campophaga sykesi. (F.B.I.) చిన్నకారు chinna-kāru. n. Childhood, youth. చిన్నకారుపిల్లలు young children. చిన్నతనము chinna-tanamu. n. Infancy: littleness, smallness. Disgrace, dishonor. ఇందువల్ల కులమునకంతా చిన్నతనము వచ్చినది this is a disgrace to the whole caste. చిన్నది chinnadi. n. A little one. A girl, a lass. ఈ చిన్నది అతనిభార్య this girl is his wife. పెద్ద చిన్నది the eldest daughter; or, a grown girl.

(p. 451) cūpu ṭsūpu. [Tel. from చూచు.] n. Slight, a look, vision, glance. లక్ష్మి అతణ్ని చిన్న చూపుచూచినది fortune frowned on him. చిన్నచూపు humiliation, contempt. బ్రతికే చూపు కనిపించలేదు there was no prospect of his living longer. చూపోపు (చూపు+ఓపు) to endure the sight of. చూడ సహించు. చూపోపక unable to stand before his face. A. v. 78. చూపు or చూపించు v. a. To shew, point out. భయముచూపించు to frighten. అన్నము చూపించు to provide for, give bread to. ఆశ చూపించు to hold out hopes or prospects. చూపుడుకోక a transparent petticoat. చూపుగుర్రము or చూపుడుగుర్రము tsūpu-gurramu. n. A block head, a useless man. పనికి ఉపయోగము కానివాడు. చూపుడువేలు ṭsūpuḍu-vēlu. n. The forefinger. జుట్టునవేలు. చూపరులు ṭsūp-arulu. n. Spectators, bystanders. చూపరి ṭsūpari. n. A handsome woman, or man. చక్కనివాడు, లేక, చక్కనిది.

(p. 597) dīnamu dīnamu. [Skt.] adj. Poor, humble, wretched, low. n. A helpless or miserable woman. దీనురాలు. దీనత or దీనత్వము dīnata. n. Poverty, humility, wretchedness. దీనదశ poverty, humiliation. దీనవదనుడు humble in looks. దీనాలాపము a humble tone, a low voice, pitiful cry. దీనుడు dinuḍu. n. A poor or helpless man. దరిద్రుడు. A timid man, భయపడినవాడు. A humble man. దర్పముడిగినవాడు.
