(p. 36) aḍacipaḍu aḍichi-paḍu. [Tel.] n. To be in a hurry, to be impatient. త్వరపడు. మిడిసిపడు. 'దైవోపహతంబులగు కార్యంబులు సిద్ధింబొందునె యడిచిపడవలదు.' M. X. ii. 43. 'తడవోర్వక వ్యయమోర్వక కడువేగిరమడచిపడిన కార్యంబగునే.' Sumati. 27.

(p. 96) avikalamu a-vikalamu. [Skt.] adj. Entire, perfect, unimpaired. సంపూర్ణమైన, సమగ్రమైన, తారుమారుకాని.

(p. 102) asahiṣṇuḍu a-sahishṇuḍu. [Skt.] n. He who is impatient. తాళలేనివాడు. అసహిష్ణుత n. Impatience. ఓర్వలేమి, తాళలేమి. అసహిష్ణువైన adj. Impatient, unenduring. ఓర్వలేని, తాళలేని.

(p. 189) eppuḍu ep-puḍu. [Tel. ఏ+పొద్దు] adv. When. ఏకాలము; ఎప్పటి of what time. ఎప్పటికి at what time, at any time, for ever. ఎప్పటికిని ever, at all times, always. ఎప్పటికైనా at any time. ఎప్పటివలె as usual. ఎప్పటిపని the usual employment. ఎప్పుడెప్పుడని కాచుకొనియుండినాడు he waited impatiently. ఎప్పుడో some time or other, I know not when.

(p. 218) ōpika ōpika. [Tel.] n. Strength, endurance, patience, toleration. శక్తి, ఓర్పు, సహనము, ఓపికలేని impatient ఓపికపెట్టు to exercise patience, to be patient.

(p. 218) ōpu ōpu. [Tel.] v. t. To bear, endure, tolerate. ఓర్చు. చూపోపక A. v. 78. unable to stand before his face. ఇంతకష్టమోపలేను I cannot bear this trouble. ఓప రాని. ōpa-rāni. adj. Intolerable సహింపగూడని. ఓపలేని ōpa-lēni. adj. Impatient. ఓర్పులేని; helpless,దిక్కులేని. ఓపలేనివారికి వద్దన్నవారే తల్లిదండ్రులు those who check the impatient are their best friends. ఓపు ōpu. v. n. To be fit, to suit; to be worthy: to be able: to be possible or practicable. చాలు, తగియుండు, పోనోప్పనా can he go? పోనోపడు he cannot go. ఈనోపని unable to give.

(p. 222) aunu or అవును Same as హౌసు. (q. v.) ఔసుకాడు ausu-kāḍu. n. An impassioned lover, a beau. నీటుకాడు, శృంగారి.

(p. 265) kāntāḷamu kāntāḷamu. [Tel.] n. Anger caused by grief. వ్యాకులముమీదవచ్చే కోపము. Irritation as of anger or the grief of anger. Impatience తాలిమిలేమి. కాంతాళపడు kāntāḷa-paḍu. v. n. To be impatient. ఈర్ష్యపడు.

(p. 307) kṛśiñcu kṛiṣinṭsu. [Skt.] v. n. To waste or pine away, to become thin. బక్కటిల్లు, సన్నగిలల్లు. కృశింపచేయు kṛiṣimpa-chēyu. v. a. To make thin. కృకోదరము a slender waist. M. I. iv. 49. కృశోదరి a slender waisted girl.

(p. 317) koṭṭu koṭṭu. [Tel.] v. a. To strike, knock. smite, beat, thrash. To attack (as rats do.) To rob, as highwaymen do. To quash, refute, defeat, dismiss, nonsuit. To strike off (the head) or behead. To strike out or rescind (a word). దారులు కొట్టు to rob (on) the high road. గోడను కాగితముకొట్టు to put (or stick) a paper on the wall. చప్పట్లుకొట్టు to clap the hands. అచ్చుకొట్టు to print. కొర్రుకొట్టు to impale. ఈతకొట్టు to swim. నన్నుముకొట్టు to whitewash. నన్ను దొంగలుకొట్టినారు thieves robbed me. చెంపకొట్టు to give a slap on the cheek. బుడ్డికొట్టు to crack a bottle, i.e, drink liquor. తలకొట్టు to behead, to ruin. పిండికొట్టు to pound flour. డేరాకొట్టు to pitch a tent. ఊడగొట్టు to loosen. చెడగొట్టు to spoil or ruin. తేలగొట్టు to set afloat. దిగగొట్టు to drive in. నలియగొట్టు to bruise. పండ్లు రాలగొట్టు to knock out a man's teeth. పగలగొట్టు a break to pieces. పడగొట్టు to throw down. పోగొట్టు to lose. విరుగగొట్టు to break; సాగగొట్టు to beat out (metal). ఊకొట్టు to hum in assent while listening. బుసకొట్టు to hiss. వాడు చేసిన దౌర్జన్యము వాణ్ని కొట్టినది his wickedness has fallen on his own head. నా నోట్లో మన్ను కొట్టినారు they have cast earth into my mouth, i.e., cheated or ruined me. కొట్టించు koṭṭinṭsu. v. t. To cause to beat.

(p. 321) korata koraṭa. [Tel.] n. Want, defect, fault. వెలితి, తక్కువ. That which is wanting. Incompleteness. A predicament వానికేమి కొరతలు లేవు he is in want of nothing. కొరత (Loc. of కొర్రు.) on an impaling stake. కొరతనురుకు korata-nuruku. v. t. To do a useless or unworthy deed. అకార్యము చేయు. n. One who does a thoughtless or unworthy deed. అకార్యము చేయువాడు.

(p. 322) korru korru. [Tel.] n. A spike on which criminals were impaled. మేకు, శూలము. A spear. A hook on which men are suspended. A thorn. A sort of drill plough. That extent of land which requires one plough. కొర్రుతోలు to harrow. కొర్రుపట్టిన thread-bare, torn.

(p. 414) cit chit. [Skt.] n. Intellect, understanding. In compounds T as usual becomes D; as చిదంబరము; and elsewhere N. as చిన్మయ. Thus చిదాదిత్య a seeming sun; that which looks like a sun. (p. 502) taṭasthamu taṭa-sthamu. [Skt.] adj. Present, near, at hand, proximate, approaching, next, impending, imminent. సమీపమందున్న, ఒనగూడిన. Temporary, occasional, for the time being. తటస్థమగు or తటస్థించు taṭastha-m-agu. v. n. To approach, draw near, or be at hand. to occur, happen, turn up. ఒనగూడు. చేటు తటస్థించియున్నవాడు one who is on the brink of ruin. తటస్థుడు taṭasthuḍu. n. An onlooker, A bystander, a spectator; one who is indifferent or impartial; a just person న్యాయస్థుడు. వాడు మిక్కిలి తటస్థుడు he is very just.
